  • well done TNRC for helping out guy.

sasmon - the ride is as flat as they come. there will be some strong guys and girls out there but in general it's totally acceptable to cruise. we'll stick relatively close together and there will be plenty of support. with that said we do have a train to catch so only you will know if you can ride 37 miles in 3 or 4 hours. as we say to all riders, familiarise yourself with the route, have a copy of the map, have a good light, spare batteries, spare tubes etc etc etc. it is always fun and a real pleasurable experience so come along and enjoy it. it will be great to meet you.

  • can anybody pick the train up at tottenham hale to lessen the impact at liverpool st?

  • if someone comes with me i don't mind. i finish work at 5.30 on covent garden

  • can anybody pick the train up

  • I would really like to come along on this ride. I was talking to someone at SE beers last Tuesday and they said it would be a good one to start with.

I know you guys are having trouble with trains so I'd also be willing to pick it up at Tottenham Hale. Finish work at 5pm from Farringdon, Tika do you still think you might want to head that way?

can anybody pick the train up at tottenham hale to lessen the impact at liverpool st?

  • the train leaves liverpool st at 19:13 so check national train timetable to see what time it gets in to Tot Hale . probably 19:25

it is highly recommended that you arrive a good 15 to 30 minutes early to get tickets bagels etc and be prepared to be the first as soon as the platform number comes up. this applies to everyone at whatever station you are going to

Ha! Bring on the photos of volcanoes and Middle Earth. I've paid for my ticket. Ain't no backing down now!

I might need to buy a new light, I have a 5 LED cateye thing for town, but it does not have too much of a beam and i will want somthing a bit better for Dunwich. All the rechargeable ones are very exspensive and I have a milion rechargable AA's for my camera flash. Which AA powered front lights are worth having for not too much wonga.

    Simon

  • sasmon, the TNRC is practically sponsored by Hope. the vision 1 is about 80 notes on Wiggle right now but a good investment. 4 x AA

  • for me Tottenham Hale is good, ca we say...at 19:00?

I can do Tottenham Hale too. Meet you guys at 19:00 at the station...

Serk: I'm leaving from Kings Cross area if you wanna cruise up there - otherwise meet you at the station...

  • With the amount of riders coming out, I think its time to point out all should come equipped.

Proper lights (check batteries in existing lights), inner tubes, patches and a pump as a bare minimum.

Also worth giving your tires a once over, inspect for glass, flints, remove and repair as necessary.

  • VED...aka Bicycle Repairman

  • Hey I've not had any issues cos my stable I so well maintained...

  • Any chaps or chappettes doing this fixed? I've bought some lights to get in on the action but my geared bike is out of action (or not yet built) due to one missing bolt.

  • Yep lots of people ride fixed.
