I doubt his honesty.

Loving your work Clint; great mid-Essex route. Takes in most of my training routes and passes within 1/2 mile of the ranch - should be nice and quick if it's dry.

However, hate to be a killjoy but I noticed a road closure sign today on the A414 at the point I think your route crosses it (Cooksmill Green). Just googled it and it looks like that particular part of your route may be impassable... http://tinyurl.com/ny5wn7 . You are going anti-clockwise right?

An alternative route is to carry on down Highwood Road to The Causeway instead of turning left at Wyse's Road, then cross over the A414 at the RAB into Writtle, Right at the next RAB, take the first left, then turn left at the T junction (Victoria Road) and on to Newney Green . From there you have a couple of options to rejoin your route.

I have just learnt that I will be in Birmingham on Tuesday, not sure what time I will be finished but should only be for 1/2 a day. If I am not at Ingatestone for 19:50 roll without me but I will do my TNRC utmost to be there. Pancake flat and not even any honest syrup to slow me up cant wait...

i have a nasty cough / chest lurgy, which has seemingly turned my otherwise dulcet brummie tones into more of a Frank Butcher rasp.

Oooh, I could do with using one of these too (I think). I've never tightened my saddle as I was never given the little spanner for it. Could someone show me how much it should be tightened tomorrow please?

Just a quick word as to ahem Tika's idea for stashing a beer for afters...
Reckon it should be down to the crew that get to Ingate first to head to the Somerfield and buy 24 tinnies. Everyone can chip in a quid for one at the end. S'long as they're cold at the time of purchase, I reckon anything will be better than nowt at the end of this Essex gem. Anyone that reckons otherwise... now's the time.
