  • shit. dave i think we need a less intelligent sub next time.
    Ha.

  • todd you may come again. em close your eyes.

  • so did anyone pick up my ball at downham when you guys left?

    no one?...

  • we found a ball behind the wall yesterday, i think it was put back behind the wall. it must be yours..

  • was it red?

  • yep

  • woot!

  • When i said, 'yes Dave, i'll look after your ball' what i meant was 'I'll walk away and leave it on court in the dark'. I may look responsible, but sometimes i'm just totally reckless.

  • sweet lets make it a date, maybe if we all promise to make sure vidal rides home with his bag on his back he'll come down too!

cheers b. i'm into playing team night at South.

  • Okay. So there are definitely some things that could ideally be better with team night. For example, if we are playing at one court (Downham), it would be ideal if (a) all teams were full teams and (b) there was a max of five teams.

I don't think that (a) is possible. I think the best thing to do in this case is to try to ensure that each team has at least two players.

On the other hand, (b) is possible to do, but then we start to exclude people. Personally, I think we should always allow one throw-in team to be able play team night, and that this team has three spots that all non-team players present can rotate in and out of during the night. This gives us some degree of inclusion while still keeping team nights serious and competitive.

The biggest issue, I think, is the number of teams. I can see four choices:

    (i) Allow only the first four teams to sign up on the list to come (plus the throw-in team).
(ii) Allow all teams to come, but then each team may potentially have to sit out three games in between each of their own game.
(iii) Play at Newington permanently, so we can use two courts.
(iv) Allow all teams to play, plan for Downham, and then switch to Newington if we get more than four or five teams on the list. (This is excluding times, like next week, when we all decide to go to Newington ahead of time).

    Thoughts?

  • (iii) Play at Newington permanently, so we can use two courts.plus lights until late

  • Do any teams want to play games against Cosmic on Monday (tomorrow) night? We won't be a full team on Tues, but it would be nice to still get some games together this week.

  • Em, Gabes, you there?

  • So this week..? East or South?

  • i really want to get as many games in as possible before euros. tom i could sub in for cosmic on tuesday if you want?

any teams that aren't complete for a teams night i'll always be happy to sub for.

also up for tomorrow (monday) games if i could get in a team?

  • I'd be up for some games tomorrow as well actually! Lets get it going!

  • Sounds like South this Tuesday. And we should probably do that for the next two weeks before the Euros.

  • Bump. Anyone for games with Cosmic tonight?

  • Gonna have to be Tuesday without Magic Mat I reckon.
