  • Well, I would speak to him if I were you. You'll have to book ahead anyway so it will give you time to save. I had to wait a month and that was for a weekday appointment. If you want a weekend it will likely be longer. But obviously appointment waiting times could differ from when I had mine!

  • Jake pretty much nailed it.

Scherrit is worth it, he's Sugino 75 awesome, give him a bell and listen to what he have to says, regardless of whether you have the money or not.

  • I do see his hesitation regarding him still growing though. But as everyone has said, no harm in a phone call / some emails. Maybe he will offer to do a follow up in a years time or charge less since you are a minor.

  • but if you stopped spunking money on buying a new frame every other week and invested that money in getting a proper fit

    Lolz

  • I have a bit of a problem regarding saddle heigh.

I'm finding it hard to get it right lately

I'd imagine a fitter, or a physio with bike experience would be able to at least diagnose the problem, so even if you're absolute measurements change, you should be able to apply the same reasoning to solve the issue?

  • I'd go for a bike fit with Scherrit...

    Why not ask Scherrit ...

Scherrit ... give him a bell

... no harm in a phone call ...

    ... a fitter, or a physio ...

So far: Five different people who didn't know the answer to Indra's problem, but still felt the need to post something.

  • ^ all good advice

Well, quite. I'm not a bike fitter, so I don't know what would fix Indra's issue. But Scherrit probably would, hence the suggestion...

  • Indra, I have no idea about your financial situation and it's none of my business, but if you stopped spunking money on buying a new frame every other week and invested that money in getting a proper fit, then you can afford it. Getting a fit from Scherrit was the best bike related investment I ever made.

Says the voice of experience. How many bikes did you go through before you got one that fit?

  • Well, they probably all would have fit, but I was on my sixth before I got my fit done. Silly me. Though I think Indra probably has beat be on that number.

  • Just because JB brought and sell a lots of bike does not invalidated his suggestion.

And that "something" was to go and see a professional with the necessary skills and experience.

More constructive than your sniping, no?

  • It's true though amey! Also, speaking from experience I don't want Indra to suffer on an ill fitting bike, as I have. For his own good really :-)

  • i propose this thread be locked and replaced with a simple text banner that says "go and see Scherrit".

This will dissuade any other poor, deluded fools from wasting their time asking any bike fit-related questions in it.

  • You should see Scherrit about this boffy.

  • Well, they probably all would have fit, but I was on my sixth before I got my fit done. Silly me. Though I think Indra probably has beat be on that number.

    10th but I had a fit at 3.

  • I had a fit at 3.

Probably time for another one then.

  • getting cleats in the right position on shoes that dont fit properly is a right ballache

    I make it six.

  • I make it six.

    now seven...

  • No, definitely nine.

  • list?

    1. dry
  • Sorry to derail from Indra's issues, but I also have a sort of bike fit issue, and we all know the internet is the best place for that...
Basically, I want someone with any physio knowledge to let me know why the change in my upper body position when riding in the drops, compared to the hoods/tops, causes my legs to feel weaker, and for lactic to build up in my thighs considerably more quickly? I understand that, aerobically speaking, riding in a more tucked position might restrict lung capacity/diaphragm movement, but I just can't twig why it makes such a profound difference to my perceived leg strength?
