I'm thinking the slightly steeper HTA of the crabon frame paired with a slightly longer stem will sort out the reach
It's so hard to turn the (few) numbers in to real world bike fit - the conclusion may be the opposite of your thesis, but having the effective top tube lenght on both frames will make the guess work less guessy.
Ps. When that is said my bearded female intuition is that the new bike will suit you just fine, playing around with different stem/set back/rail grinding length.

Yeah left out the ST/TT measurements as the cannondale is horizontal and the carbon frame has (very) sloping geometry. But ETT for cannondale is 575 and for carbon it's 563 mm. So yeah, fiddle about with stems and saddle should do it, my main concern was I'd misunderstood the stack concept and would have a too low front end. Thanks!

Anyone know why my little toes get numb on 50k+ rides?
Starts on the little toes then creeps up to the next toes.I used to get this. Switched to wider shoes. Don't get it anymore :-)

Have changed nothing to do with riding positioning, clothes, parts etc. Suddenly my perineum is killing me for a few hours after a ride and sometimes during.
Others might know this area under a more familiar term such as gooch, grundle, or -my personal favourate- the taint.
What up with that?

Dramatic increase in mileage?

Same miles, it burns.

For everyone having problems with feet/arches I'd recommend getting referred to a podiatrist. I self referred a few months ago and was fitted for some insoles which have not only sorted my foot issue but also a knee issue i've had for about ten years. I'm going back to the podiatrist soon to have my feet cast and some custom soles made. All this for free.
On a different note, I have developed a pain in the muscle in front of my shin. I think i may be dropping my heel. Could this be the cause?

Yup, currently got a referral to a Podiatry Service from my GP, but the best one is King's in Camberwell.

~3 hours on the bike Tuesday night, deliberately slow/Z2, right hand trapezius/neck area was agony by the end.
Riding was on the hoods, very low power - so supporting a lot of weight on my hands.
How much core strength does a cyclist need- is there a test - can do plank for ~3 minutes or similar?
I'm really fed up with this, it's the only thing that stops me doing longer distances.

You still get those after you move the saddle back a bit? (recalling your earlier post about this).
-
• #1037
I think it could also be a postural thing.
How are you using your shoulders/neck?

Yes, been moving the saddle (on the fixed) back a little further every couple of days, I still find that when I do my "Jack! I'm flying!" I want to collapse forward, unless I'm at 300 watts+

Arms gently bent, try to keep shoulders relaxed, issue is that I have to support my torso weight with my arms, which is what is making my neck ache.

• #1040
I doubt I have any core strength. You have seen my head tube?
-
• #1041
The shoulders are quite a complicated arrangement, so it depends which bits are being relaxed. If you let them collapse in the wrong places your neck will take a lot of force and compression. Even the use of the term shoulder is ambiguous, are we talking shoulder blades, or the bit that runs from your neck to the top of your arms.

From a highly technical "looking at Google images", Rhomboid minor and major muscles, and serratus posterior superior muscle. I think it's the last one that really complains.

300km my knees back. What to do about this?

i am more worried that you managed to lose your knees in the first place

So when you shift the saddle back a bit, did you also move the bar back as well to compensate?
Broken record, I know, but best to start with something simple than trying to spot the curpit in Google Image search.

^^^ Already tried that. Rode 130km to the next train station. Will try to load them less next.

Does that translate to: did you fit a shorter stem?
-
• #1049
Pretty much, if you have something lying around that's a cm or so shorter, it could work.
It sound very much that you move the saddle back enough to the point the reach become a little long (if very pro) which cause the pain you described.

what is the optimum size shoe?
Should you wear a size bigger, as in running?
Cheers, couldn't find it earlier through searching.
