  • Bad luck @umop3pisdn. Got to be pleased with the ride though, surely?

  • Yeah, really happy in some ways. Way faster than I thought I could do, felt great for most of the ride, really comfortable on the bike etc, just so gutting to come so close and miss by such a small amount. I knew at the final turn that it was going to be touch and go, but I just couldn't get any more watts out.

Definitely going to try and get another one in this year.

  • Nah, it was 4:01:10. But I'd done a 1:00:04 25 that sucked a bit.

  • Yeah, pb by 4min, course pb by 9min and power pb just for good measure.

  • Icknield dude. I was 5min faster on it.

  • Or Etwall...

What's the course code? Can't find it on the CTT website. Considering the National 100 as well if I can get a lift and we can get an RST team together.

  • Not running this year AFAICS

  • Also good to finally meet and chat to @clubman today. Definitely part of the inspiration behind my continued devotion to TT'ing on fixed.

  • Worried that you Bristol lot are gonna start making us all look slow when you start riding some decent courses.

  • Hah, that would involve some planning and travel...

Wouldn't have any excuse for not going fast either then :) .... Apart from all the usual ones - too low tsb, too low CTL, dodgy power meter, bambino, exploding wheels, poor skinsuit etc etc... As bad as an F1 driver.

Back on the u7b for next week :)

Good work on the 100 BTW the club 50 is going to be the longest one I do this season. Maybe a 100 next year.

  • National 100 must be pretty accessible for you this year? Give it a go, they're really not as bad as you think they're gonna be.

  • Saddle back, arms forward, wrists parallel to forearms. Roll your shoulders inwards if you can.

All taken onboard. Previous cdA 0.2559, new cdA 0.2513. Can possibly go lower at the front.

  • Oh yeah you mentioned that before. Let me see.

  • A100/4, Sep 5?

  • That's the one.

  • Remind me if you're going to enter it. I've put it in the diary.

  • 3:45:48 is my current club 100 record. It now seems to be in the realm of possible rather than 'nofookinchance'.

  • CTT site down for maintenance or just fooked?

  • http://evententry.ctt.org.uk/ is OK, so it looks like somebody just borked the main virtual server.

  • That's not showing all the handbook events though. Annoying, I wanted to enter another 25.

  • H25/2 next Sunday

  • H25/2 next Sunday

    Too late to enter that.

  • I knocked just over 2 minutes off my 25 mile PB at this evening's club event to get down to 1.01.10. Slow for many on here, I know, but my goal for the year is to go sub hour, and conditions this evening were far from ideal. Doing an open 25 on Sunday but apparently it's not a fast course - it's the E1/25.

  • Thats mega fast for the U7b, nice one. Riding the interclub there next weds night? I'm hoping to go under 22 but it will be a tall order on that course. Also, according to our website you were 6th not 7th!

the idea of entering a 100 still seems crazy to me. maybe next year.

  • That's why it's not showing up.
