Probably won't be if you bloody enter.
-
• #13253
Sorry, but if I was just a masochist then everyone else wouldn't get to enjoy the fun. S&M ftw.

F11/10 does have an excellent history of cancellations.
-
• #13255
None of them were caused by me thus far though, that much I can tell you.
I've entered it but I'm in two minds about racing it - the 50mi after the E2/10 was grim - I think everything had tightened up and I had my leg numbness issues again which cost me loads of time. So, I'm worried that racing both events will end up having me go shit at both rather than OK at one. But I want to ride this stupid Tring course to see if it's any good. Maybe I should save it for the V? Argh, decisions, decisions.

You doing the E2/100 the day after? You know that starts at 3am or something silly?
There's another event on the F11 the week after I think, plus the re-run on the 10th of July (?) Save it for then.
-
• #13257
Yeah. I was going to do an Obree and just stay up, hitting the turbo every hour or so.
I think I'm riding something else on the other F11 days. What do you mean re-run on Jul 10th? Is that for people that had a race cancelled? I'll be beating you and skinny in the Nat 100 then. Not really, I don't think I'll bother with the Nat 100, depends if I get my club record on the E2/100 or not.
-
• #13258
I'm not bothering with Nat 100. Yeah, the cancelled event, think it was BH Monday?
-
• #13259
Why was it cancelled? Too wet?
-
• #13260
@umop3pisdn I have entered to F11/10 on the 18th as well. Might see you there.
-
• #13261
Jonathan Parker too. On Sean's borrowed bike.
Was a sweet win. Will remember that for years. -
• #13262
Me too... Day after I get back from holiday :-).
-
• #13263
Me four. Only opportunity to have a crack at a club record this year so pressure is on!
-
• #13264
@xavierdisley, I just received the mailshot about the saddle, and since I've never been totally happy on my adamo I'm very tempted. Do you have any idea what the balance of supply vs demand will be like? I'm just heading off on holiday so would prefer to wait a couple of weeks before ordering, but don't want to come home to find everything sold out :-)
-
• #13265
.
-
• #13266
We've burnt through a third of our stock already so far today! We'll put in another order at some point but a couple of weeks and we'll have sold out the current order almost definitely. I'm bound to say that of course but still
-
• #13267
Bah humbug*! In that case I'll try to place an order when I land.
*also congratulations

just got my rejection email from the E2/100, surprised 15+ people were prepared to be a reserve, they better all bloody turn up.
looks like i'll be doing the U86/100 instead, chances of cracking 4 hours are slim given that only the winner broke 4 hours there last year..
-
• #13269
Sorry!

Closed on 4:15

U86 is very much a "sporting" course (the surface is particularly poor in places as well). I am doing the U86/50 this weekend and will be very happy if I get close to 2hrs
-
• #13272
so the fact I said id be a reserve and had an email exchange with him to make sure that it was clear on the website and he knew id be a reserve is a little frustrating when he said that only those who said they would be a reserve were rejected...
have just emailed him to see if its not too late, but it probably is....
grrr..

Too late to get into the Welsh 100 on the 19th of June? Really good course.
-
• #13274
that's a long way away, thanks for pointing it out though, was that the national course last year?
It doesn't look like a massive improvement on the U86 with nearly 700m of climbing!
think i'll see if there's any recourse with the ECCA and enter the U86 if pigs don't fly.
-
• #13275
I'm not sure tbh, i think there was a slight variation used for the national. It was fine on fixed. I wouldn't say it was significantly slower than the Hounslow, but then Charles Taylor only managed 3:39 last year vs the superfast times on Bentley this year.
10 days after sending my Zipp away I just get an email from CRC that it has been sent to the service department. slow clap
"We would normally expect this to take two to three weeks from date of receipt, though in some cases this can take a little longer."
They'd better pull their fucking finger out and sort this shit quick smart or I'm buying Enve and never using Zipp again.
