  • Not sure about going lower, but longer might be good. Have you tried the deeper tail section?

  • second pic is new position, whihc is a bit longer...

the deep section tail traditionally meant i couldnt see as it pushed the helmet to far forward, but will try with changed position.

will book a session with Xav later in the winter/early new year once i have a little more cash floating about....

  • NoPinz SpeedBelt would be good too. I'm not on commission!

Has anyone got any of those Ultremo Superlights spare? Cash waiting.

  • i met a guy reviewing one for 220 traithlon who said he'd melted his tri suit installing it...

i presume this was user error rather than product error.

will be interesting to see if Lucy Gossage uses it for Kona, suspect she'll be in the top three which will see a big boom in there use...

have you had any contact with her? looks like someone has been trying to help her up her aero game..

  • You do have to iron on the patches for the SpeedBelt so I'm sure some people will get it wrong. AeroCoach doesn't ever release that a client has worked with us unless they've said so publicly

  • If it helps the promo, I'm happy to announce that I've worked with aerocoach, and will be wearing a speed belt on Sunday... Hold on for the associated spike in demand. :-)

I think I'll get my mum to pop a loop of thread through the Velcro tabs to avoid melting.

  • break 6 hours on the bike and i'm copying everything you do ;)

@xavierdisley as a potential customer i respect this, as an ironman fan, i want to know if she's made enough gains to stay close enough to the better swimmers and other cyclists (i don't think she can be described as average any more) to still unleash her run like she did at IM SA...

  • interesting - hoping to hit an AUW of <70kg for hillclimbs

  • You + bike!? I stand zero chance against you west country whippets.

  • yeah - just got the scales out...
I am currently just over 63kg in hillclimb kit - ie shoes/socks bibs + jersey - which leaves just under 7kg for the bike, so should be doable I think.

@borek is either lighter or more powerful (or both...) than me though :P

  • Christ, I'll be lucky to be under 80kg! #fatisaero

  • Anyone in for Newbury RC HC up Walbury hill? Closes tomorrow. Sounds quite good, closed roads, loads of prize money and should be accessible from London (Paddington - Reading - Kintubury, 5 miles to the hill).

  • leith hill is on the 26th

  • Should I race a 30mi next month?

    E2/30 - http://www.strava.com/segments/e2-30-30-mile-tt-course-777300

PB almost certain assuming event runs and I finish.

Could be a good FTP test :)

  • Our club record is currently 24 years old...

  • I'd have liked to do that, but busy. You should, its a nice course and a good event from what I understand. You could probably get close to that time I'd have thought.

  • Entered it.

I'm not sure of form. I kinda turned back into a proper alco after PBP and have just had an almost total week off boozing in Spain and Poland. Got on the turbo yesterday and didn't seem too bad but was operating 20W+ below threshold and only for 10min blocks so it's hard to tell how I'll do with a sustained event. Also, put all the weight I lost back on so will need to shed some of that to get my aero back and with dieting comes the risk of being very 'flat'. I've got two 50s on the books before then though so I will at least have an idea about how I'm going.

  • Now I'm in Wiltshire I really need to make use of the TT's around here. Any recommendations? Based in Swindon for a time so maybe I need a club...

  • There's plenty of west-country bumpkins on here who'll be able to advise. As far as I'm aware there's no real fast courses in the U district, though I think there's a half decent one close to Swindon.

  • For this 50mi, where I'm less concerned about comfort, should I swap out my Pro Optimum rear for something else? What's faster in clincher world these days? Was thinking going to a 25mm I guess or maybe a 23 though it's on a Shiv so Crr is maybe more important? Hmm.. tyre thoughts?

  • Should be the fastest course you've ridden, AFAICR none of your PBs are on particularly fast courses (12/24 excepted)

  • 23mm Conti Supersonic. Or Conti TT. Maybe a Corsa CX if you must have 25mm. Or those Spesh Turbo Cottons come in 26mm.
