I've emptied the paypal account that was collecting money for the forum, and for the next few weeks it will be exclusively used for collecting any donations to go towards flowers, and everything else to the charity that velcro mentioned.

I'm happy to provide the thread in some form to be inserted into the book... let me know what form you would like this, and even what posts... it requires an editing session I think.
As for donations, in the first 12 hours £225 has been donated to the flowers, book, charity fund. Of this PayPal has deducted £12 which I'm covering so that every penny you donate does find it's way to something worthwhile.

a quick summary as to what lfgss is doing to mark the sad loss of Eilidh:
**VB **is organising donations through the link at the top of the forum. Whatever is left post-flowers and book costs goes to a charity of Velcro and Eilidh's familys choice, which **VB ****and hael **will work out at a later stage.
**Ray **(and I) are organising a memorial ride on 7th March. See http://www.londonfgss.com/thread16411.html. The route will be decided by Velcro, and will probably be kentish town to the site of the accident. We'll be recording the event for Eilidh's family.
**Kattt **will be doing the rounds at drinks and events with a rememberance book. If you can't make the events or are out of London, please post your thoughts and messages in the original rider down thread here https://www.londonfgss.com/thread16171.html. These messages will go in to the book. Please note that time is short as our intention is to get the book to her family by Monday next week.
**Greasy Slag **and **hael **are organising a memorial at the end of the ride on the 7th March.
please feel free to get in touch with the relevant people to help, support and assist them.
Farid.

Donations have now been closed so that I can draw the money out by next weekend and then find out the charities for the donation and then make the donation... ahead of the memorial ride.
Anyone wishing to make a last minute donation should do so with the paypal recipient being: paypal@buro9.com and if you send it as a gift there is no fee deducted by paypal.
To date the donations have raised £1,116 and paypal deducted £59 which I am covering.
I have a spreadsheet of all of the donations that I will pass on to the family. They need not do anything with it, but I suspect that they might wish to thank a few people who either donated a lot (there was a £100 donation as well as a few £50 ones) or if they know the donors then to thank those donors at some point. If anyone has donated and objects to the family knowing who you are then let me know via PM and I will anonymise your data... the only identifiable thing will be the email address and name, but those I can remove.
Of the amount donated £105 goes to Greasy Slag to cover the cost of the flowers, which leaves £1,011 to charity as of today.
