Surely wilder will do it JUST for the money .
Too much to resist
That’s where his next big purse will come from
Who else would want to fight him ? -
• #1403
Usyk and Dillian Whyte would both jump at the chance I reckon! Joshua too. Chisora would probably fancy the tear up. His record is beyond padded and this has been his first real test. Failed miserably.

Why would wilder fight them though ?
I was really thinking of belt holders risking it against his punch .
How much weight would he need to lose to go down a class? -
• #1405
I thought you were saying there was no-one else in the division who would want to/be brave enough to fight him. Which isn't true.
Cruiserweight is 200lbs. He was 230lbs-ish for this fight but that's much heavier than he's previously been. He could probably make the weight, but it's a strange division light on real competition (and therefore money) - which is why Haye came up and Usyk is now doing the same. He would earn more fighting the second tier heavyweights (Parker, Chisora, Dubois, Pulev etc) but I don't see why he'd do that. Imagine he'll take the rematch and whatever happens he'll have earned enough to retire happily. That said, if they rematch and he puts up a better fight, if the Fury - AJ fight was proving tough to make he'd still be a big draw to fight AJ in Saudi or summat for another massive pay day. Or he might stick around to fight the loser of that match up anyway...

That would be where the money will be , which is where it normally ends up .
I read he normally fights at 96kg , so that’s 5kg to lose ... but he’s so lean already -

No chance mate! :-)

Not sure these sort of sound bites from Warren are that helpful for Fury. Maybe Fury is in a much better place but given he's beaten him twice, might motivation be hard for a 3rd.
-
• #1409
He’s beaten him once.
-
• #1410
Factually correct but I think its fairly well accepted he won the first.
-
• #1411
By whom? He drew the first fight.
-
• #1412
You scored the first a draw?
-
• #1413
It doesn't matter what I scored it. It was a draw.
-
• #1414
You asked by whom. I thought Fury won the first fight and was somewhat implicit in my statement. Clearly that doesn't effect the official result, but in a discussion as to the validity of the decision asking how you scored the fight doesn't seem irrelevant...?

Might be better to go back and read your posts. You said he's beaten him twice. Andy says once. You say yeah but it's fairly well accepted he beat him twice. I say by whom.
Now, what are you saying? I haven't a clue.

Sorry I'll try clarify. I said he won twice, probably because of my own bias of the first fight. What I meant was that he won once and that he (or so I at least thought) was regarded by most to have won the first.
I took your by whom question, to insinuate that you either scored the fight for Wilder or as a draw, which led me to ask how you scored the fight. -

Rewatched round 12 from the first fight and the (US?) commentators were saying Wilder had to do something amazing to pull the fight back, he was considered that far behind overall.
Third fight seems redundant at this stage. Let's get AJ Fury on.

Interesting that Canelo Alvarez is the fourth highest paid sportsman globally in 2019 with $94 million.
Still a long way to go to beat Mayweather's total earnings. -

Looks like Wilder vs Fury III is happening given Joshua vs Pulev is on for the 20th June.

So much time at home has me thinking about picking up a punchbag. I had a nice leather job ten years ago but from talking to a friend the plastic water filled ones seem to be in gyms now which definitely appeals to my level of maintenance (can leave outside, doesn’t need nourishing/careful storage etc). Anyone have experience?

Don't move next to UberGruber, who recently flounced from this parish, his anti-punchbag rants in the 'bastard neighbours' thread were a thing of beauty.....
Oh sure, I was more interested in how well Fury and his team are managing things to become the main draw. They'll be calling the shots
