I find it difficult to see how DW, AJ or TF share a ring in the next 12months maybe even 24.
Too many conflicting interests. I have no doubt they’d all fight each other in a heartbeat. -
• #1103
Hmm don’t see that many similarities. TF isn’t that exciting to watch so there is some similarity at least with Vlad.
TF and BJS are technically very good but also both lack a bit of power at elite level. -

Both Vitali and Vladimir were (possibly still are) better athletes than Fury. I’d say the three of them are similarly wired when it comes to ring craft and technique.
I’d love to see a six fight series between the three of them with fights taking place both in the US/UK and elsewhere.

Well well well

Timberrrrr!

Did you watch it? I only followed the live txt. After all sounded very bizarre!?

AJ looked like the real Ronaldo in the ‘98 WC final.
Well done fast Eddie...

No, because I'm on holiday in France. Didn't even watch the football.
Just caught up this morning on reddit.
It's always a risk in the heavyweight division because they can hit so hard and AJ got caught hard in the third round.

Ta I’ll watch that now

It all happens in round 3 and 7 really

Body shot in 6 to AJ did some damage too.
Very odd end to the fight, doesn’t really look hurt just spent.
Some good footwork and ring craft from Ruiz. Some sloppy left hand from AJ as a result. Although Froch used to have a low left hand also under Mcracken... -

Unless there was something seriously up I can’t see AJ winning the rematch.
-
• #1116
It’ll be in the UK for starters.
-
• #1117
This isn’t a dig, but have you watched it yet?
-

He got caught behind the ear. Have you ever been hit behind the ears? It’ll easily leave you off balance for half an hour.
The only way Ruiz will win in the UK is by way of knockout.

Joshua was flat footed, sluggish and to a point disinterested. Ruiz seemed to walk right through his jab. He also had only one month to prepare for Ruiz whereas Ruiz basically extended his training camp.
Hearn and AJ bet on the wrong fight this time. You can’t take anything away from
Ruiz, he fought him on the inside fair and square. Will he be able to repeat at Wembley? I have my doubts. -

Why not Vegas? Ruiz has the belts, the Mexican fans/money, and will be the one making the cash. And how much will Wilder offer to get a chance at Ruiz?
-

That’s been coming for a while. Joshua struggles and has the wrong instincts under pressure. And he runs out of gas. A slightly better Bruno.
-
• #1122
Because that’s what allegedly was written in the contract.

I saw it very differently. I thought Ruiz footwork was causing AJ problems including lowering his guard. I felt Ruiz controlled the fight well.
They had the same time to prepare for each other so that’s a mute point.
I do think motivation could have been an issue, whatever the result AJ wasn’t coming out of it well.
I’m still not convinced AJ will win a rematch -

You’re betting on a Ruiz knockout win in that case.
My best guess is that AJ’s training camp will be loaded with guys that fight on the inside, this time for more than a month.
Ruiz typically fights guys much taller with bigger reach. He’s tuned into that type of fighter. Joshua has not fought a 6’2” opponent with a limited reach of 74” competitively in a long time. If you don’t think that has an impact on preparation than I don’t know what does.
Again not taking anything away from Ruiz, he did extremely well. But to win against AJ in his own backyard he’s going to have to win by knockout.

Literally his last opponent, Povetkin. Also Parker is hardly the new bread of heavyweight either. Granted they fight differently.
Possibly but he could easily out point AJ by a margin that a bad decision couldn’t cover. Maybe AJ will prove me wrong.
You gotta ask yo self tho. Why didn't Wilder go again on Fury. Interesting to see what would have happened. A lot of peeps thinking he rattled by that fight.
