  • Damnit. A wheel for me too, if possible?

    cool, you down tonight?

  • one wheel, both sides ;)

  • sweet

  • i wanna see the H+Son that Jol is crafting!

  • Yup, will be around the court at 6ish.

  • Ha, so do I!
    Been too busy.

  • Ok... don't know if this is the right place to post this, but i've got a question...

Disc wheels catch the wind, has anyone tryed putting holes in them? Or vents? Or Something similar?

I'm thinking concentric circles (is that the right phrase?) will provide the protection to the spokes (and fill the gaps) but less wind resistance?

  • Not really sure.
Give it a go.... if it doesnt work i will give you some more boards.
Jol was talking about making an H+Son style disk.
I ride on my polo set up all the time. Have travelled from w14 to N16 in really high winds and its not too bad. Just hold on tight :)

  • Probably going to go with normal discs for the VD tourny... but thinking of chopping them up after...

  • Nah, it's not that bad. I've ridden loads with double discs, the rear makes no difference at all and the front is only affected if the wind is gusty or strong.

Aiden does a neat trick of using 2 half discs each sicde and lacing them on/off to play or ride.

  • Do you have any board left, PiQue? Would like to grab some, is front and back overkill? They're quite nice wheels, y'see...

  • Double discs ftw .......

  • Hey Joe,

Front and back is cool. Sprockett rides with both.

Maybe you could fashion a removable one?

I will be at downham on sat if you are around?

  • Gabes uses nuts and bolts to hold them, 6 I think with big fuck off washers - would be reasonably removable i would guess.

  • yep, 6 x m4 screws and bolts with 2 5x25mm washers, done up just past finger tight (holding bolt with fingers and using screwdriver).

    Get them from leyland.
