pretty pissed off.
on bishopsgate, at carphone warehouse, waiting. 4PM or so. couple lock up their mountain bikes to a standard single rack the other of mine. i watch. they faff around for a long time. 2 minutes later i go to unlock and see my support has snapped, and is hanging thansk to a bungee cord.
the first one has lifted the bike and rested the bars on my support, then the other one has added weight leaning into the one resting.
left a note explaining i locked up, then watched them lock up, then returned to find it broken, said "please do the honest thing and give me a call to sort my #".what's funny is i thought i'd get a call.

Balls, my quick release arm broke off and my saddlebag is stuck on.
Will try and put the arm back on to removed it, doesn't seemed very secure.

^ I've heard the new QRs do this. Warranty Replacement?

Once I get the saddlebag out, I'll have a look and send an email to them.
Bit annoyed, as it's going to be my audax bag.

How do you know who made them? I can't find a single name in my Camper Longflap--- purchased sometime in the early 1990s (and almost continually used since).
P.S.: A little tip: the cotton duck is quite well suited to treatment with wax--- Barbour Thornproof Dressing. Treated its not quite as waterproof as my Orlieb bags but sufficient to my needs. -

the name is usually on the little Carradice label on the inside

No little label inside! Only label is the (sewn on) logo... announcing on its flap--- as if it was not clear--- that its a Carradice bag...

I've got an older one with no name. Must be a more recent trend at Carradice HQ.

Im looking to get a nelson longflap for a bit of light touring as my frame has no braze ons for racks and panniers and touring using a rack held on solely with 4 p-clips was unsurprisingly a bit of a nightmare last summer.
I think i'll need the bagman 2 expedition quick release support, but will this fit a san marco concor? Just worried about the proximity of the plastic shell. If this is an issue then i might as well get the one without the quick release as i've got a brooks on another bike.
Without any braze ons im right in thinking i'll need the seat post collar as well arent i?

^^Awesome haha
Well, my Pendle turned up about three weeks ago, and has been out just a couple of times so far. It's yet more evidence of Sue's Stakhanovite work ethic.
