what's with the mystery here?
-
• #59
No mystery. I registered a team last night thinking that the fee went up from $120 to $200 on July 1st. However, I think the fee is actually going to stick at $120 (£76 at today's rate), so that deadline just served to make me take the plunge and say fuck it.
If more people register another team then we can shuffle around players to make teams to suit everyone - I just want to be at the worlds!
Matt, you interested? dt? Flights are looking around the £350 mark. I reckon the whole thing could be done for £600 if we can get accommadation from players.

Tom, put me down, as you say fuck it!
-
• #61
Definitely interested. I think i've blown my annual polo budget already this year.
-
• #62
I blew my polo budget back in Rouen and Berlin. Munich destroyed my savings. Philly will put me and B on the streets. Polo is a dangerous drug.
-
• #63
yep, i'm definitely interested

• #64
what are poeples plans? Just flying out and back for the weekend? Staying for the week and checking out new york polo at the same time?
-
• #65
I plan on leaving London on the 3rd and returning sometime around the 13th.
I'll be checking out as many places as budget will allow, NYC definitely has to be one of those places. -

Reckon we can get a roof over our heads in both NY and Philly?
Could do flights in and out of NY with train over to Philly? -

I should be able to sort something for NY but I've no idea how many people that would be for.I don't know anyone in Philly though so I'd have to put up a request for housing on Bikepolo.ca

Yeah, I'm guessing it'll be easier to find cheaper flights to and from new york
-
• #74
The 1 Karlsruhe Team are the "Candy Colored Clowns"...
There are really cheap flights to NYC...
So, come on... Let's represent Europe.. -

The trains generally suck in the states, but there is a good, regular train from Philly to NYC. And also from those places to Washington DC, I'm pretty sure. Those would be the three most obvious places to go to, i'd think. Philly is right in the middle of both.
I personally love DC, but it is pretty miserable in August (super hot, super muggy). You could have plenty to do with just Philly and NYC.
Em: DC is one of the top vegetarian cities in the US (so is NYC, of course).
So 1 Karlsruhe, 1 Berlin and 2 teams from Paris have registered for the World Champs...
