Don't the Berliner Polizei have anything better to do?!
Good luck London :)
-
• #178
yeah its not like there's anything else going on in berlin, like a sudden huge rise in crime and a massive resurgence in nazi fascism that they could be dealing with or anything... fucked up priorities though, "let's target kids on bikes!"

ANYWAY when is this fucking POLO thingy happening in Berlin? I wanna get an early flight on sat then come back on mon morning... and if the finals are on monday, it'd be a shame if the Geriatric Ducks had to leave before (as we will reach the finals of course)

Nice one Yorgo. See you there. Wherever it is we're playing ...
hey dudes be good to see y'all when you're here. all the competitions are out at templehof, i think.
with regards to the cops, you'll probably see them a long way off. if you see a barricade, take a different route. note that if you go through one without stopping, they might send a plain-clothes'ed bike cop after you. say you're not from germany and that you're leaving in a few days, they should let you off. don't speak german to them (even if you do speak german) -- legally, they have to explain to you what's happening and make sure you understand it, and a lot of cops don't speak english. finally, if they say that they're confiscating your bike say that you contest the legality of it and you want to speak to a judge. they have to then go through this whole rigamarole and they may not want to bother. also avoid prenzlauerberg, alexanderplatz, brandenburg tor and potsdamer platz. lots of cops around those area. but you should be fine. i've not had problems since i've been here.
see ya soon.
oh and if anyone needs a place to crash, i may have some space.
