Tourney: Easter tourney in Rouen - 12.04.09

HIGHLIGHTS:
-The 4 am full moon reflecting off the lake in the french country side biking into Rouen.
-Hassan smashing out of goal to own the entire french team and score a beauty. BEST. GOAL. EVER.
-The old french couple who made us pizza. Can they come over and do our next fundraiser?
-Malletov vs. FFF...the best game of polo i've ever seen.
-Things in general.
-Losing to the Americans...so much fun to smash around and feel the London crowd cheer us on.
-Seeing Bianca more happy than I've ever seen her, and seeing Tomasito dive off his bike to score a goal. Holy Commitment Batman!!!
-Seeing Adain smile for a change.
-Red Wine, Cheese and Baguettes on the beach in Dieppe.
-The English Channel looking like a sheet of glass.

London polo has so much heart! all the teams played so well, and every member of the london crew showed so much support i think everyone else might have been jealous!

everone else so far has expressed my sentiments perfectly, all i can say is a HUGE thank you to every single one of us who took part, in any way, in this trip. every aspect was perfect.

and massive thanks rob for stepping up for JiHaD, you played superbly.

good games, good rides, good drinks, good meals, good hanging out, good everything.

Truly awesome weekend. From the moonlight ride from dieppe to rouen, to the incredible games of polo (tomasito's diving save to fillter tip explosion was the best moment for me) - everything was perfect. London teams representing - i love you guys (and gals). Only (tiny) regret was not being able to put more of a fight up in the final - i was pretty much out on my feet by that time.

Next up manchester - Bring on the summer of polo!

Forgot to say thanks for all the London crew who made so much noise during les Plottes amazing comeback from 0-4 to 4-4 against broken frogs or whatever they were called - epic crowd...

And Hassan - my wheel collapsed on the ride to Rouen, trued it. Then I stripped my hub - sorted it.

And numerous other repairs to other people's bikes - what a star.

And Dale - for stomping on my bike frame and bending back to get back on the court. thanks buddy.

I'm at a customers house right now trying to sort out the wireless network and I can barely keep my eyes open I'm so exhausted.

Great fucking weekend. Gutted it's over, but look forward to sleep, a voice, and less sore muscles.

You know at school when there was a trip and everyone else went but you didn't and you spent the week in very quiet classes with just you and some other poor kid and the teacher and then everyone comes back and they had the BEST time EVER and they're all mates and stuff?

Ha! Well we can't promise the weather will be as nice, but you'll certainly have a good time. Looking forward to playing some London teams.

Too much, too much i feel completely inarticulate right now, but something happened on the way home, that sheet of glass channel, the sunset, the uncountable hugs, smiles and glasses of wine make me wished everyone could be us, could have felt what it was to be LBP just for a minute.
Sorry not to wait for the train with ya'll, me n bill just rode up and one arrived, it was too risky not to jump on board.
