I read that this morning, one of our finest architects, with quite a few iconic buildings in London, the cheese-grater 122 Leadenhall is my favourite. I did some interesting work with his firm at Chiswick Park back in 2000. Never had the pleasure to exchange words personally, but I often saw him at their studio in Hammersmith or in River Cafe next door. Chiswick Park team were young and very talented, attention to detail and integrating solutions made for a joyful and rewarding project.
I met him (and his wife) on a number of occasions when I worked at Prada. Always gracious and patient, he came across as someone who was extremely humble and as aware of his talent as he was of his good fortune.
A genuinely sad loss

Your comments certainly reflected that,
in the brief time I was involved, there was a sense of belonging and loyalty at his practice. We arrived with fresh ideas all of which were well considered, welcoming, thoughtful and ambitious in terms of problem solving. For that opportunity I remain grateful for the experience. -

The wonderful John Turner:

He died last month, but I thought I'd wait for an obituary before posting.
There will be an album coming out that the band recorded in lockdown, and perhaps also a collection of his poems and lyrics. RIP John.

I'm guessing the missing word is either 'school' or 'streets'?

Brave brilliant Janice Long. The best friend a boy could have-40 years! We said our goodbyes on Thursday but she’ll never be far from here. An absolute pro, dedicated to the music she loved and championed, but smart, kind, funny, generous. I love you mate. Friends forever. 💔💔💔 -
