Did you meet Bernard Manning? No? He was an 18 carat cunt.
How about Kenneth Williams - a truly vile character.
Sid James? Alcoholic shagger. All paragons of virtue, I'm sure you'll agree......
First one was a proper cunt.
Kenneth Williams was brilliant - screaming howling toxic vitriol of the highest order.
A tortured soul and a comedy genius born before his time.Sid James. A boozed up sex bomb with a face like Alan Sugar's ball bag.
He was the king. I loved him in the Quatermass Experiment - a decent actor. The Carry On movies got very stale, but Carry On Cleopatra was awesome. And Carry On Camping. Love Sid James. -

Very sad news about Norman Wisdom. :[
'A stitch in time', 'The square peg', and 'The early bird' are some of my favourite films ever. -

Norman Wisdom was a godammed comic genius, worthy of all the plaudits that he gets now, though I'm not sure about the brickbats?
He was from deeply impoverished background, and had slept rough as a child. He, like Sean Connery and Sir Ben Kingsley, did play on their latterly elevated social positions. Norman Wisdom wasn't alone there. Still, for the amount of smiles he gave to millions, I think it would be nice to cut him a little bit of slack. Anyway, where would Lee Evans be with Norman's template?
R.I.P. you wee genius.

I'd agree with that.
He worked his little tits off to feed his family when he was a kid, and he stayed small because of malnutrition.
He earned his right to throw his name about a bit, I reckon.

never got Norman Wisdom or any of that physical comedy…
Spike Milligan in the Q series mixed it with enough madness to make me giggle but the straight up knockabout stuff just doesn't float my boat
