Seriously? Thats tragic. If not entirely unexpected. He was a genuinely charming man. For all the stories Ive heard him tell from back in the day (many of them more than once..), I know there were hundreds more we'll never get to hear. Just the most amazing craftsman, with such an eye for detail. Sad.

All these^ three four deaths make me sad.

I once sat on a top deck on a quiet bus with Foot, wanted to go and shake his hand (it was just after he turned down a peerage, '94 ish) but he looked so shy and peaceful I just smiled at him.

Sparklehorse is great! +1 on the vivdixielandthingumyjig album. Very sad news. I've never seen what he looked like, just assumed he actually has a horse's head.

Lost Boys heartthrob Corey Haim has been found dead aged 38, in his Los Angeles apartment, police have confirmed.
The 38-year-old Canadian born actor, was found unresponsive in the apartment he shared with his mother in the Oakwood area of Los Angeles at 3:30 a.m.

Haim, who had had a well documented struggle with drug addiction.

Police were called to St. Joseph's hospital in Burbank, California to investigate, reports TMZ.
Actor Haim found fame in the 80s when he co-starred in a number of films, including cult vampire film The Lost Boys, with Corey Feldman which led them to be dubbed 'The Two Coreys'.

But in the 90s he slipped into obscurity after a number of his films went straight to video without a cinematic release, and spent time in and out of rehab receiving treatment for a prescription drug problem.

In 2007 he made a return to the limelight when Haim and Feldman were reunited in on reality show The Two Coreys.
He has spoken openly about his struggle with drugs.

Haim said: 'I started on the downers which were a hell of a lot better than the uppers because I was a nervous wreck.

'But one led to two, two led to four, four led to eight, until at the end it was about 85 a day - the doctors could not believe I was taking that much.
'And that was just the Valium - I'm not talking about the other pills I went through.'
Haim was due to reprise his role as Sam Emerson in a sequel to The Lost Boys, 20 years after the release of the original film.

Good to see the Daily Mail still won't allow the truth to get in the way of a juicy piece of gossip. Quote marks being used there to imply that it was someone other than the reporter saying something. Doesn't really wash if it was the person was some spotty faced intern running the newswire.

Presumably Jan Moir will be along to write some utter shite about it in a minute.
