Yes it is. Although I'll be watching it laterz. No spoilerz please.
-
• #953
I made sure I gave nothing away just in case someone did want to see it later.
-
• #954
That said, given your football prediction earlier, can you tell me who's going to win? :-)
-
• #955
I reckon Dan Fleaman(sp?) solo break.
-
• #956
Fleeman. A much better name for a solo breakaway rider. No spoilerz (sp?)
-
• #957
sp? = spelling? I wasn't sure how to spell his name.
-
• #958
Fleaman is a legend - shouldn't even be able to walk after his accident a few years back never mind race at this level. Wasted riding for Raliegh on the domestic scene.

I know. It was meant to be a little (wait for it) joke in relation to 'spoilerz'. :)

So I'm looking at the ITV4 TV guide and it doens't look like they're showing the entirety of every stage? Or am I missing something?
-
• #961
Have they ever? Even Eurosport only goes above 3 or 4 hours for the big mountain stages. And this is what you call staying at home to study is it?
-
• #962
They have two hours of live coverage. I demand more (not necessarily all of it, but more!). It's already likely that the first three stages will have some splits/crashes/breaks thanks to wind, cobbles, and those patriotic Dutch and Belgian riders. I want to see more than the last two hours.
You can study and listen to cycling at the same time. If only you could study and cycle at the same time....
-
• #963
I agree; the commentators on Eurosport often point out that the first couple of hours racing, with breaks trying to get away, are usually more interesting than the last two.
-
• #964
There is usually a recap at the start with any highlights (breaks, crashes, flag-waving race directors etc). Do the French get the whole race in coverage?
-
• #965
If you missed the National Road Champs - Eurosport are showing highlights of the womens race at 2.45pm and the mens at 3.15pm. I bid you good day.

Ahem
There's also a guy who cycled round that world for charity (not Mark Beaumont) who set his bike up on a trainer with his laptop in front of him so that he could get through his emails and his training at the same time! -

Ahem
I know it's nerdy, but... want!!
-
• #969
Girls don't have to be nerdy, but I can understand your desire.
-
• #970
£1200+ to ride inside watching a screen? If someone else was paying, maybe.
-
• #971
Ahem
Am I being a spaz or has that turbo be shopped onto the bike? The silvery bit (technical) is supposed to line up with the tyre.
-
• #972
Spaz
-
• #973
yep
-
• #974
Silvery bit is the "turbo".. The wheel sits on a roller..
Spaz

Surely you could set yourself up on something relatively cheaply if you make your own, or buy a cheap old one. You only need the rollers, none of this electrical fancy bollocks. I reckon you could make a frame up out of wood that could hold the bike in place and still be supportive enough not to rattle apart under the occaisional sprint.
The National Road Race championships is currently live on Eurosport 2.
