I record them all, just in case.

You obviously don't have a daughter who gets first dibs on sky plus. She has series linked just about every program on every channel.
-
• #829
No offspring. But I'm also not the kind of guy that would let others mess with the sky box, relatives or otherwise.
-
• #830
I'll remind you of that one day in the future :)
-
• #831
No probs. It worked for my old man so I don't see why it's not gonna work for me.. assuming I make the mistake of breeding, of course.

Cavendish, big fall in tour of swiss, carnage. Eurosport 2 now.

2010 Tour de Suisse Stage 4 Crash - Cavendish, Haussler, Boonen, Ciolek, Petacchi[/ame] -
• #836
does this mean cav wont be around for the tour?
-
• #837
Fortunately not.
http://www.cyclingnews.com/races/tour-de-suisse-upt/stage-4/results
While Cavendish and Ciolek escaped injury, Haussler was taken to hospital for examinations after rolling across the line, and Caisse d'Epargne's Arnaud Coyot was transported from the race in an ambulance with a suspected broken hip.
So close to the line, too. It probably looked worse than it was, but still.
-
• #838
I cringed. Looked really bad.
It looked like Cav came into the side of Hausler, Hausler tried to make room with his shoulder, but Cav was coming in too hard... That's a no-no for Cav, no?
-
• #839
It looked rough as hell, but I'm not sure Cav screwed up. Haussler gave him a nudge, which at that speed, seemed to bring Cavs front wheel underneath Hausslers. He's gonna look like he's had a ruck with a giant cheese grater.
-
• #840
Fuck that - Cav might not have done the best thing but the massive shoulder barge from Haussler was what took them all down. I put *all *blame on him for that one.
-
• #841
the inside of his forearm hooked the lever hood so as he rocked the bike the other way he just pulled their wheels together. don't think you can can blame anyone it's just a racing incident imho.
-
• #842
Looks like he got barged to me.
-
• #843
I'm not an expert, just an occasional observer, but to me:
Shoulder barge or not, Cav came into him, and came in close enough to touch. Cav's bars were overlapping Hausler's - that is, he was blocking Hausler from passing him.
I say sketchy move by Cav, both sketchy in terms of putting the two of them at risk by coming in like that, and sketchy in the sense of it being a bit cheeky of him to cut off his competitor (this is what cost Cav the green jersey last year).

not sure it changes the whodunnit? question but this picture is enough to put you off carbon rims for life
-
• #845
Wheels that take impacts in directions that they are not intended to be strong - especially carbon fibre ones - fail.
Haussler weighs around 70kg, let's say his bike is another 7kg - travelling at 60kph? That's a pretty heavy impact for any wheel to take laterally. It looks like the carbon just cracked - at least ensuring that some of the energy from the collision went into that. I won't stop riding carbon rims because of it :-)
-
• #846
I'm just amazed that "bruised and grazed" is all that Cav came away with. Poor old Arnaud Coyot has a suspected broken hip.
-
• #847
How the hell didn't he end up with a shattered shoulder, or at least a broken collar bone?! Just look at the angle he's going down. I can only presume he's been doing some 'tuck and roll' practice out of season!
It's a good just they all wear helmets now - when watching the video clip back it shows that about 4/5 of the riders that went down took a pretty big hit to the helmet. <-- That's one for mr Schick!I just like causing trouble in the morning ;-)

That hub will polish up fine

Armstrong's clearly the one at fault here.

I must spread some reputation around before giving it to BringMeMyFix again..
Even the highlights stopped recording before the end of the program on Thursday. Perhaps I should also try recording the program afterwards too.
