Cheers boss that helps
Couple more questions for anyone with a pre-cursa - can you fit 25c tyres on it, and how easy are the decals to remove?

anyone have/know where I can get my hands on some white dolan decals?

Really? Why would you want the ugliest decals ever?
If you want I can make you brand new OG ones.
OG not as in OG Dolan. -

Any body here with the smallest frame? I am 5' 4" tall. And I think that I must get the smallest,
What do you thing?
I would like to see built bikes with the smallest frame if anybody have one.

what your current bike?
-
• #212
Now I ride an old road bike with mudguard, rack and big tyres and just 5 gears. I had a fixie build from an old road frame for 2 years. Now I am looking for a cheap track frame, my current bike has a 52cm top-tube with a 8cm stem. I think that it is better to take the smallest one with road fork. I wonder if i will have too much toe overlap for city use.
-
• #213
You'll very likely to suffer toe overlap on a lots of small bicycle due to the shortened wheelbase, but it's not a design fault, just something you have to work your way round.
the 45cm seemed to be the likeliest one that may fit you, this is advisory thought, the head angle is pretty relaxed on that model.
-
• #214
I know that donĀ“t have toe overlap its almost impossible. Now it has good price in ebay, I think thats a good deal and I can buy a light bike

What size seatpost does the pre-cursa take? - I can't get the frame details bit on the website to load and google gives me conflicting results

27.2, change browser perhaps? (Using Chrome as we speak).

Mine gave up going up highgate hill with a bus behind me.
Under a year old and had used it on the track a few times, can't have roughed it up too much as the navigator pistas it came with were still true.
Sure there are plenty more out there that didn't just snap though. It just snapped? Only because of leg-power? It's hard to believe it!!

The paint on mine is already starting to chip...
Its quite endearing to be honest. They are lovely to ride on the street given the shorter wheelbase.

Its a beauty.
Bought after having a go on one at Meadowbank.

Ordered one myself, the last 60cm in stock as well. Replacing the blue bullet that was stolen in Elephant, RIP.

Anyone bought a dolan pre-cursa with the road fork option? - Hows the handling?
-
• #222
Mine has the drillled for brake road fork option. It handles really well, nippy in and out of traffic, no noticable flex under heavy braking either.

• #223
hi, does anyone have experiance with drilling the alpina carbon fork which comes stock with this atm. i heard they were drillable... thanks
-
• #224
General consensus is no, yes it can be done but it isn't advised as it weakens the structure of the forks due to the fact that alpina's have an alloy steerer. I encountered the same problem a few weeks ago!

thats what i thought, but i heard that they have a hole, but that it's just been pluged, and can be unblocked.
Nice one. Enjoy! It is surely one of the best value framesets around.
