Regular dropouts with the standard MKS (narrow, 5mm) chain tugs works perfectly well and are probably easier to adjust (in the allen key version). I also prefer the regular dropout aesthetically, the Paul ones extend too far out behind the seat stays to my eye.

My BJ, apologies for the crappy camera phone quality, it was crappy 7am light [hence work shutters still closed].

That is lovely. Top work!

Now that's a great work, have the exact same tape on my old bike, loved it.

That's some beautiful science dropped on those bars.
-
• #409
Probably stop dropping the science now, we might need that later.

What colour do people think this is? FLAMBOYANTS Petrol Blue? -
• #414
Celeste Cosmos Metallic, I think. The Petrol Blue flamboyant is darker than that.

Thanks man, ordered it yesterday!

Hope I was right then. ;)

Ordered my frame and it took 5 days to get here (including the weekend)! It says on their website there is 4 week waiting list, not to sure about that :)
I have no idea what to do now, I have never built a bike, I just thought I'd order a frame and go from there (thought I'd have 4 weeks to figure this all out)...
Suggestions? I was thinking about buying all the components and then maybe getting a shop (like Tokyo Fixed/ BLB) to put it together for me... good idea?

• #418
not BLB

Tokyo fixed or Fitzrovia cycles, next question.

For some reason feeling very tempted by a Vigorelli Track.
Although maybe someone like Orlowski could pull it off cheaper?
Oversized 631 tubes
Seat tube 25.5"
Top tube 23.5"
Head and seat angles 73
Head tube length 240mm approx
Rear stays 16.25"
B/B drop 55mmAnyone have a picture of one in that size?

There's someone selling a 62 cm one in Leeds... Have tagged you.
May be on the little side, cheapish though.
-
• #422
thanks for that...
saw a few pics of larger ones...not too sure.. guess I'll just keep saving up for Ted/Ryan/Feather -

I'm not a Bobby Jackson fan personally, better frames to be had. That purple Woodrup with the bilaminate headtube and the fancy lugs was just a little over £1k...
Why replace your Plum though?
What box does it leave unchecked?

none, just toying with ideas here. :)

what size is it again? 61x57?
Are the Paul track dropout upgrades at 65 quid on the vigorelli worth the extra money? It's kind of a lot of money, surely a chain tug would be just as good?
