  • I passed.

    congrats, nhatts.
    ahh rhyme.

  • @ Scott- you can exploit me any time you want, baby

I think we're gonna get along just fine Nhatt.....;)

  • congrats Nhatt; I suppose now you might be entrusted with one or two important packages.

  • i failed %70

  • i failed %70

    Get out of mah country!

    ...I failed too.

  • Well, i'll be happy to get rid of my study aides after tomorrow, I hope. If anyone wants they, they're going free...

I'd like to get the big book from you. My wife needs to take the test soon (for indefinite leave to remain), and she already has the small book.

  • well done nhatt!

My wife has to take hers next week, as she's going for citizenship after being married 5 years, and living in the UK for near 10. I've had a quick read of the big book, it's an absolute load of shit. Anyway, there will be anoter big book going soon if anyone wants it.

Totally yours if you want it.

I live east, or I can bring it into work with me (i'm based on Gt titchfeild st)

    lemme know.

BTW, Festerban, the puppy made my entire day. So so funny

Funnily enough, Ronnie stopped me on the christianna bike on friday, asked me some questions about what i'm doing, how much weight they can take, how far I go, and how much my pay is....then asked me if I would work for them if they got one of the Christianna bikes.

    Funny old world

I live North (on the border of Stamford Hill and Tottenham) and work right next to Barbican Station. Perhaps I can meet up with you or something?

  • Sure sure, I'm shacklewell so I'm in your neck of the woods-ish. If it's not too far out of your way i'll give you my address, i'm home working most evenings so you can stop in and get it whenever

  • Congratulations, Nhatt. I'll see how I do in this test in a moment. I've lived here for 14 years but being an EU citizen haven't had to jump through hoops like that.

  • Nice work Nhatt.

If the others want it please let them 'ave it.

  • That's just for the visa, for indeffinate leave to remain.

Next year I can apply for citizenship, for a further 600 some odd pounds.

I can't even tell you how much money I spent on a fiancee visa, a marriage visa, airfare to LA to sort of visa paperwork...

    it's fairly depressing.

£600! A lady at immigration gave me one for a free a few years ago. She stamped my passport with a stamp giving me indefinite leave to remain and work in this country...Booyah!

  • You sure? My VISA is a specially printed page including photo and metallic holographic type forgery protection shit. I'd also be worried about them flagging your passport as 'incomplete' or something and then double checking your current status.

I thought the same thing but I phoned the Home office and they said it was legit. He said its fine. The only issue being when that passport expires I will have to carry it with me when I travel.

Im in an odd position because I was born in the US but was brought over here when I was 2 when my parents got divorced (English Mum). By that time had my own American Passport which I have retained to this day. However I still got issued a NI number at 16?

  • 79%. Phew.

  • congrats! that test is ridiculous. my dad just about managed to get a british passport before the test was introduced, if he had taken it i'm sure he would have failed even through he's lived in london since 1964, haha. i only just got 19 questions right and i was born here. what kind of question is "Which is the largest descent after the Indian descent?"????????????

shit! I would have said Telegraph Hill in New Cross- its proper steep...I'll go pack my bags now

  • Congratulations...good to see you'll be around Lundun for a bit longer

  • I faild.

    But you already knew that.

  • Congratuations Nhatt! The whole test/visa thing is a massive scam. My Finnish wife was goonna get citizenship but £650 and a test that I'd probably fail is just taking the piss. Luckily she doesn't need citizenship to stay here, but I feel your pain.

  • i know someone who did it, and one of the questions was "what is the grand national".

I would like to apologise for my country.

  • ^what is it?

  • I'd like to apologise to all foreigners.
It must be awful for you.

    /coat.
