dont be too too quick to judge people.
remember KINGCUTTER, we all thought he was a bike thief too
-
• #53
how about accurate ones then?
only joking, mate. i'm sure it's not stolen. after all, you do seem to know the bike and it's parts very well.

i think we need VB to add a sarcasm button on the posting box

i dont feel false accusations are apropriate.
you're right. they're not apropriate. It seems a lot of people on here are acting like fucking morons.
-
• #56
So....how much did you pay for it?
Which courier firm did you work for?If you don't want accusations you need to be a bit more knowledgeable and a bit more willing to answer questions accurately.
-
• #57
cardiff cycle courier.
-
• #58
i dont think anyone here will know the name of a welsh courier firm.
saying that i've been wrong before
-
• #59
i only did it for about 3 months. getting caught up in uni work, so i stopped.
-
• #60
i'm not accusing you of stealing anything yet...but put yourself in other peoples shoes....would you buy a bike from someone who falsely lists the parts and then doesn't even know how much their own bike is worth but then won't say why they don't know?
-
• #61
anyway. im selling the bike as i dont need it anymore. and i have uni fees to pay by the end of jan.
-
• #62
well i guess no ones interested about this bike. is there anyone interested in a lo pro frame 54cm i have 650c forks and 650c wheel aswell.
-
• #63
i might be interested in the wheel.

-
• #64

-
• #65
think i'll pass
-
• #66
did noone else see this?:
ok. well the bike will be priced at £300
...1 hour later
price is £250 posted
if posting it costs less, post my all means sunshine.
-
• #67
look. basically, i havent sold any bikes or bike parts before, so i dont really know much about second hand pricing. i just store them all.
this is the first time im selling my bike as i need to pay for uni fees as they are due the end of this month, and i currently dont have a job.
thus i have no clue on what price it should be until i got a little advice from eds. which it should be around £250-300 max.
so since i want to sell it asap as i need to pay the uni by the end of this month i thought ill price it at £250 posted. -

Raleigh, you must understand that now OOL has left us, people are struggling to find a target to ridicule, demonise, belittle and wrongfully accuse.
It seems you came at the wrong time... -
• #69

-
• #70

Yeah...
He tried to flog me a Claude Butler MTB that he'd put a 'full xt' groupset on to replace the Stumpjumper I'd had robbed.
Wasn't quite the same :)Rich is top. Usually call him whenever I have a bike based query :)
I worked there for about a year, Luca had been there for a couple of months when I left for London.
I've never had to ride as hard in London as I did in Cardiff, 80 mile days were not unusual...
Do Ed, Pip and Pat still roll?
And how's the mutt? -

this bike smells of bullshit, sry.
If its your bike you should at least provide some sort of providence. -

If its your bike you should at least provide some sort of providence.Think what you like, I'm inclined to believe it's not..but then you have no idea who I am either.
If you knew and worked with the guys from CCC and the Bike Shed in Canton you wouldn't and it does kinda look like a bike Rich would put together out of loads of bits from 'Somewhere in the Welsh Valleys'. They work with a cycling and parts gene-pool which is pretty shallow. Having experience of similar looking builds, this to me looks kosher(and all they ever do to convert to single speed is throw a gusset kit on a pair of 105's that they usually have in house). It's what they did on my first ss build.
Anyway, I think this is genuine.
And I know that's gonna mean fuck all.
i dont feel false accusations are apropriate.
