Same with Tempest in Manchester!

Yeah I had to order Tempest direct. Haven't seen Buxton in London for a long time.

Tempest direct.
Yeah. I'd only be spending £25 and it's £8 delivery. Order hovering in the basket.

Seem to be getting bad hangovers after only a couple of IPAs. Had some Brewdog punk IPA last night and was worst. Anyone else get this and are some IPAs worse than others? Thinking might have to avoid altogether.
I dunno about hangovers, everything seems to give me same dull head, but Brewdog Hazy Jane gives me a bit of a sore/catch in the throat

Necking Fullers Golden Pride tonight, pretty malty.
Reckon I could get into trouble drinking these. -

Ok, I'm not imagining it. I'm moving closer to Buxton soon (closer than London) so I suppose I'll just have to go to the source.

When I was a student, birthday drinks for my group of CAMRA types was a bottle of Golden Pride and a measure of port in a pint glass. Remarkably tasty, but more than one and you can't feel your legs...

Oh exciting! The Buxton tap house is wonderful, I had one of the best new years eves there.

I heard a story about a brewer called Jeff who worked at the Fullers brewery in Chiswick.
His tipple of choice was half a Golden Pride topped with half a Chiswick. Was known as Jeff's Juice.
I have tried it once and it's amazing, though it ends up as a fairly pricey pint if ordered in a pub!

I'm doing the same with a Tempest order.
Has anyone had any of the Kees pastry stouts?

It’s nice but I’d rather have had two and a half Westmalles

I wonder how much that endorsement cost :)

How were these?

Not opened the stout bottle yet but the others are great, especially the imperial brown.
The Elemental was a bit thin though

is there anywhere I can buy a mini keg or two of Thornbridge Jaipur from? It's the parents in law's favourite so I'd be in the good books at Christmas if I could find one

https://www.beerhawk.co.uk/perfectdraft-thornbridge-jaipur-6l-keg
But you'll need a £200 PerfectDraft to serve it I'm afraid.

not that good a son in law unfortunately

I did the logical thing and just emailed them- they'll have stock next week. Call off the search parties, and thanks

I am very tempted by one of those. Beer range seems fairly decent and reasonably priced but I do wonder how long it will stay supported.

You can get 6L kegs of Karmeliet Tripel for the Perfect Draft...
I can't find Buxton anywhere in London. If anyone sees it please tell me!
