  • That Lukas stuff is lovely

  • I had a bottle of this a few weeks ago... very nice indeed

  • It's one of the lower abv beers I've had recently but I appreciated the difference haha.

  • I swapped the paracetamol with another can of Patron's Project DDH IPA.

  • BrewDog delivery!

2x Bird Brained Barracuda (rum barrel aged porter, 9%)
    2x Libertine (black IPA, 7.2%)
    2x Dogma (ale, 7.8%)
2x Cocoa Psycho (Imperial Stout, 10%)
(The above were a bundle deal)
4x Deep Sea Dating (oyster stout, 5.8% )
4x Jet Black Heart (nitro espresso stout, 6%)

I am turning into a stronger-than-average beer superfan, will try and save these for the weekend.

  • Didn't wait.
Had a Deep Sea Dating. Very tasty. Good stout with a little salty hint throughout.
Tastes boozier than the 6%, when it's not chilled.

  • It's finally here. Was actually meant to be going to Belgium this weekend so I'll just pretend in the garden instead.

  • Mine too. APC apparently tried to deliver twice but couldn't be arsed to put a card through the door either time.

So... Two to drink now, two to lay down for a couple more years.

  • Four to drink now.

  • Not right now. Two for a 'special occasion', two for my pension.

I don't know if people actually pay this much for their older Vintage or Reserve but it might be worth sitting on them for a bit.

  • Look for the 'Sold' ones. But keeping a bottle of beer around just in the hope of making money off it isn't why I buy beer*.

My growler(ish) arrived. I'd got 4 pints of hazy but I guess they ran out so I ended up with two pints of the hazy, 2 pints of pale and two cans of IPA as an apology.

Also, got a thankyou card and freebie from Perivale Brewery for being their 100th online order, which is quite nice.

    *it's why I buy whisky ;)

  • Edit. That didn't work as I thought it would...

  • I've got some that are nominally worth £150 or so (2006, 2008, 2010?), but as hippy says it's finding someone willing to pay that, and I laid them down to eventually drink. I'd actually planned a vertical tasting with mates in early March; as a group we reckoned we had bottles covering the last 15 years. Under the present circs I might just crack some of the duplicate bottles I've got...

  • To be honest I'm going to look at these like the Orval case's I buy every year or any other ale that will properly bottle condition.

Have one or two, hide them away, get smugly drunk at some point in the future.

  • I watched that and didn't get it and then you removed it so now I'm not even sure I watched it.

  • It was about 'have you seen my Growler' but wrong video...

  • Ah, ok. I thought you were maybe having a go at me for 'advertising' Perivale or something. But I didn't think it enough to post about it. Just went down the street to get beer snacks assuming it was a 'you had to be there' joke.

  • Growler

It was actually his Lorraine character:

  • That was the one I should of posted, not sure why Mel B appeared instead.

  • Happy to help. ;)

I did watch a bit of Bo Selecta at some point in my past but didn't really get it then. It was on some kind of best uk comedy show recently and I remembered bits of it, Craig David and the bear.

  • Ename! God, I miss that. Lovely beer.

  • It was of it's time.

Only problem is I can't say 'Craig David' without actually saying 'Craiggggg Daviddddd' now.

  • Can anyone? Why else did he move to wherever?

  • I have a Fullers 2007 sitting waiting to be drunk
Also a 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2019, as well as an imperial stout.

    Can i retire yet?

  • Can i retire yet?

Yeah, so long as you die within a week of retirement you should be set.

    Tonight's order just went in...
