Gave the old Boilermaker a go, Guinness with Jameson (Stout Barrel), quite a nice combo.

Damn, prices in the UK are crazy. Have gone through my local supermarket selection so am now googling local breweries for delivery for the first time :p
-
• #8405
Crazy compared to what?

Saw someone mention 40 pounds for 12 Trappists which seems crazy but I was scrolling through this thread way too fast. St Bernardus abt 12 is not even 2 euro’s per bottle here and by the time I’m typing this I realise I’m way too tired to compare prices and way of living :p

Still jelly about those labels tho after scrolling through 3 pages :p

Import costs and higher alcohol duty; you might get Leffe/Duvel for under £3 a bottle here, but not much else.

Small Burning Sky delivery arrived today, 2018, and 2020, the 2020 wasn't actually what I ordered but more than happy with it, it's like they read my indecision when ordering as I did think about ordering one of each

You're in Belgium(?) and you're amazed that Belgian beer is cheaper there?
-
• #8411
I ordered a load of stuff from the Brussels Beer Project, the Clausel brewery here in Luxembourg, Hitachino Nest and Musa in Lisbon. All turned up at once. Not sad.

😂 alright, how much for a random sixpack over there? (Not yours)

You can pay Belgium prices and a 12 euro for postage for 48 bottles from belgiuminabox.com
£2.66 for St Bernardus Abt 12 delivered at that rate

They don't really do 6-packs here, or I don't know where to buy them.
https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/300257145 £4.50
But the stuff I buy is more likely ~£5/pint as I buy from pubs mostly.

Also have a few 4 packs of Kerel from VBDCK. The saison and IPA are good but I’m a bit hesitant about the Kaishaku as it’s 15%. Feels like the sort of beer you drink then go and have a lay down.

I'll check them out, thanks! I think I've only had the grosse bertha. Kerel Ipa (the yellow label) was oke-ish but lacked something deeper. Excellent for drinking in the sun tho. Time to order some stuff, didn't even know they had other beers.

Liking those sours then? Me too! Had my BeerHawk consignment yesterday.

Had a few deliveries over the past month to tide me over:
Abbeydale Brewery
Voyager IPA Minikeg - Newest variety of their voyager, really excellent, lovely fruity/hoppy balance 3.25/5
Moonshine Minikeg - The beer Abbeydale are probably most famous for, super refreshing, light and floral 3/5.Tiny Rebel Brew Co
Got their mixed pack of 24 (Cwtch/Cali Pale/Easy Livin/Clwb Tropica). All decent beers, Clwb Tropica was my favourite although some find it too sweet. The pales were easy drinking and I've always liked Cwtch. 4/5 (cheap too at ~£33 for 24).Two Tribes
Got their mixed 24 pack as well. Would rank them from worst->best:
Electric Circus -> Island Records Session IPA -> Dream Factory -> Metroland.
Surprised I liked the weakest most (3.8% for Metroland) as I usually prefer it stronger, really wasn't a fan of the Electric Circus though. 3.5/5. Based in London and 20% off first time buy with voucher code.Next I've got a couple of Bad Brew Co. mixed packs coming, will update when they come.

If you're in Belgium the brewery do a "passport" for 30 euros that gives you 30-something% off up to 300 bottles so if you like it, that might be worth it.

Cheers for this, I never would have realised.
