  • Glad I neck these fairly soon after buying.

Picked up a Rasputin Bowmore Barrel earlier which I'm reluctant to forget about for a few years.

They had Jester King Black Metal too, £27 a bottle they wouldn't take my old Peroni in trade.

  • Heading into Liverpool later today, probably swing by Dead Crafty Beer Company. Anyone been up that way recently and got any recos?

  • Dead Crafty Beer Company

Ooo I'm on the docks for Christmas, I will pay a visit, ta!

  • I've got some BA Sadako's (Beam, Jack Daniels, Heaven Hill) I've hung onto that might get taken over to BIL's for xmas eve, a Siren barleywine too. I don't have that many big bottles left though, most of those went last xmas. I'm justifying drinking all the smaller bottles because they're not as good for sharing :)

  • Black Lodge and Hard Times & Misery

  • Oo forgot about the Ship and Mitre and Baltic Fleet too.

  • Craft Minded at the Cain's Village is OK.
Craft Taproom and Handyman's Supermarket on Smithdown Road are worth a visit if you stray from the city centre.

  • What time is the Forum meet-up at Hanwell's Weird Beard brewery tomorrow?

  • You know Perivale Brewery is having one tomorrow too?

  • Cycled to that place back in the late Summer after seeing a notice too late on a fence post on the lane that goes up over Horsenden Hill and the canal.
    What time is it happening?

  • We've been there a few times (obviously, fucking pisshead). 11am I think it starts.

Also, did you know about http://www.ealingbrewing.com/ ? They do beers for Owl & whatsit micropub but also have a taproom http://www.ealingbrewing.com/#taproom

  • Ha,
I start the day at Chiltern Open Air Museum,
laying a hawthorn hedge with my conservation group.
    We'll work through till dusk,
so my plan was Weird Beard maybe by 5pm.

No, never heard of the Ealing Brewery before.

  • I'm normally getting dragged out just before they close so I might see you down there.
Wear a red rose in your top left pocket..

I'll probably have a look at Perivale first. Depends how my turbo session goes.

  • Gluhkriek is delicious

  • Trying a new one from a local brewery tonight.

    Good plan!

  • Their Baller is a decent ipa. I just wish it came in bigger cans

  • It was pretty good, seemed small until realising there was seating down stairs too. Reasonable selection, friendly staff and there was a long dog in there for a bit.

  • Thanks for the review, definitely going.

  • Some of my beers of the year, mostly South West breweries because that’s where it’s at, and mostly dank and soupy IPAs or thereabouts because I love that stuff all year round

  • Stupid photos won’t load...
