  • Went to the In Good Company Fest at Beer Merchants today and had a rather nice 17% Pohjala/De Struise PX and Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout

  • rather nice 17% Pohjala/De Struise PX and Bourbon barrel aged imperial stout

  • Sierra Nevada variety pack. They're all a bit average so far.

  • Torpedo’s a banger

  • This was absolutely stunning. It had what I can only describe as an incredibly delicate cigarette smoke after taste.

  • Obviously, if you served that to me 20 years ago, I'd have asked for a different pint as that looks "cloudy as fuck".

  • I'd have also asked for a pint. Not a fucking half.
    "How much?"
    Etc and so on

  • Currently supping Wudu from St Mars of the Desert. Foeder aged brown stout. Tis nice.

  • Walmart in Ohio so possibly not that convenient for most.

  • Last Wylam I had in LDN was Jakehead, probably at the Red Hand.

  • I’ll keep my eyes peeled when I’m doing the weekly shop in Stratford :)

  • Toast ale are an ethical brewer who use surplus bread in their brewing process to reduce food waste. They make a pleasant IPA and some session beers.

They are holding a crowdfunder: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/craft-beer-can/backers#start to raise money to start a canned beer range... check it out if your interested.

  • Rioja barrel Aged Saison using local Suffolk ingredients, wild yeast from cider apples.

Bit like a v.dry cider, nice.

BBE 2028 so perhaps would benefit a lot more aging , but at 5.8% I thought it might not age well?

  • It's got wild yeast and bacteria in which will develop over time, abv doesn't matter in that case
