Suggestions for pub in Southwark area? Got dinner on crucifix lane at 7:30 - ideally not a long walk from there

If a 20 min walk’s ok, I can recommend some nearer to Borough:
The Libertine,
The Gladstone Arms,
The Roebuck,
The Lord Clyde. The Lord Clyde and the Gladstone are small and more traditional and usually get missed as they’re a bit off the track. The Libertine is a massive favourite, usually for their pizza but their beer is good and they now have Augustiner Hells on bottle. The Roebuck is nearer to where you’re going and is just a nice place.

Terrible pic, meant to be quite nice. Bit Rapha though.
Warming up with Guinness WI Porter tonight, surprised every time by this, better than expected.

Guinness are doing a Co-Lab with the Women's Institute now?
That's unexpected.

Ditto, enjoy!

Hey. What's your plan for Saturday? We're planning to find a bar in Geraardsbergen in the afternoon showing the race and walk over to the Muur ahead of the race coming through, then back to the bar.
Any recommendation for a good bar?
@pootsmanuva same question
Forum meet up? -

Kat has found Taverne Stadhuis online. We'll check it out as an option on Saturday, but keep us posted with your plans

Oops my ditto was referencing my prev post https://www.lfgss.com/comments/14637714/
I'll be at my daughters 6th birthday party which could be just as intense, much less boozy tho.
Enjoy the Muur!

Haha okay!
Much like the classics, at a child's 6th birthday you want to keep your head down for a few hours and avoid doing much work yourself. Use your mates to soften up and isolate your rivals and attack when the moment's right. -

I'm more likely to find myself in the early breakaway!

Bad news for Cloudwater. Not quite sure how you let this happen.

Sounds like they may have took someone's word rather than seeing the evidence of the licence.
Hope they can get something sorted for today.

Went to the Cloudwater FFB fest on the Friday. Incredible beer, minimal queues and seemed super well organised. Lack of a license seems to be a bit of an oversight but I’m in awe that they managed to get that sorted within 24hrs and get the Saturday running. Port street beer house and bundobust were really good as well.

Sounds good, d'ya know if it'll be an annual thing?

Picked up Haand #1000 & De Molen Triple Gold BA both look & sound ok but get varied reviews on ratebeer.
Naparbier 'Black Blade' goes straight onto the list of fine Imperial Stouts. Has the aroma of 'burning sparklers' in the glass, which is a first for me.
