  • ^ thimble of each?

Parkin is amazing. Most CW beers I try & move on from. I'm going back for more of this. @Landslide can for you when we exchange, unless you've got it local already?

  • Getting a third to a half of each. Pretty good. I'm in Manchester next weekend, not going to Indyman but going to a lot of the fringe events.

  • (Very late to this)

So am I - 3 for a fiver in my local express! Lovely

    (Boo for corporate bollocks obvs)

  • Getting a third to a half of each.

That's about 2 bottles of wine equivalent yeah? Enjoy!

There's lots of fringe stuff. I'm on a course Sat & Sun so missing it all. :(

  • Had 45mins at Buxton Brewery Tap waiting for a train. Did well.

    Shelterstones 5.6%
    Highland 10.5%
Buxton x Fierce Nippy Sweetie 8.5%
Rainshadow, 2018 just gone on sale. #result.

  • ^ water & cashews too 'cos i'd been for a run.

  • There's a small local beer fest here but I'm going to stay in and drink all the crafty stuff I bought in Newbury yesterday.

  • I’m drinking an Amundsen Pecan Psychosis BA Imp Stout at The Axe. @mmccarthy

  • Sounds nice, if a bit of a mouthful. Where's the Axe?

  • Best pub in London, 5min from my house ;-)

Very good Polish yesterday Wylam&Stu Mostow Life beyond the Metronome IPA.

  • ^ looks nice.

Got a growler from my lbs* on way home. Track - Hoodoo Dipa.

'*They've sold out of Parkin. I need to visit CWHQ again and hope they still have some.

  • I've yet to have that, sounds pretty awesome though!

Today I had a nice collection of sours & a kriek at the Draft House. Was in more of a 'refreshing tangy beer' mood as opposed to the usual 'black wine'.

  • Fuck me, this is amazing. Wish I'd bought more.

  • New bottle shop near me. Great little place. Almost spent a bloody fortune in there, but children in tow (literally - 1 on a tag-along & 1 in her seat). Had no idea what this when I picked it up.

Tasty stuff. Fruity, long finish, but surprisingly light for nearly 7%

  • Have discovered that my local Londis has all Kernel beer at £2.50 permanently. Is it possible to get tired of Kernel Pale?

  • Yes.
    All pale ale tbh.

That's why I started back on helles lager and dunkel.
Paulaner and the one with the Augustine monks on it.

  • Just finished the growler from 2/3rds full. Forgot it was an 8%er. Ouch.

  • Forgive a shout out for these guys and girls brewing some edgy ales in Oxford and offering work to day release prisoners.

  • Had this last night, pretty tasty and only 2.7%. Also spotted M&S have loads of Mikkeller cans in.

  • Off to Antwerp at the weekend - any recommendations?

We are going to drop in on the Modeste Beer Festival:
    http://www.antwerpsbiercollege.be/modestebierfestival/index?l=en

  • Beer Lovers bar, Billie's, the Dekonink brewery and pub across the road, Paters Vaetje, Gollem and Kulminator if you want to try some really old cellared stuff. The beer shop a few doors down from Gollem is the cheapest.

  • Don't suppose you know the name of the group and where I can find a full list of their pubs? I go to these as much as I can and they are all great. The bar staff never seem to know the answer themselves.
