Is that a corny keg? I want to start kegging myself when we move into a bigger place, read lots about it but don't know anyone that's done it. How are you going to tap it, are you thinking of adding taps to the fridge and make you're own kegerator?

It is a corny keg, I got a starter kit that came with a line, a regulator and little tap on the end. I bought it, along with the beer gun, to force carb my mixed fermentation beers and bottle them as I find calculating the yeast needed to referment quite hard with unpredictable results. Not planning to set up a dedicated kegerator.

Ah I see, never thought about bottling from the keg. Look forward to hearing how it works out.

We just don't drink beer quick enough in our house to have it sitting in a keg. Ordered the missing connector so hopefully can get bottling this weekend.

Yeah I bought a separate smaller fridge but turns out the compressor takes up too much room internally and I can't fit my keg in so have had to swap and use the usual big fridge for beer. Oh well.
It's OK, Simon's only thin and doesn't need much room for his food. :)

Went back to Kris wines again but checked the prices of the the usual Belgian suspects which i didn't do last time; £3.99 Rochefort 10 is bloody excellent for a bricks and mortar shop.

Kris wines is great, I used to live down the road and miss it. great selection and the prices were always far better than the bottle shops.

All change, will trust Paul knows the best way forward.
Csb: I took those 2 cans straight from the Barrell House to Sheffield, one was to give to a friend I was meeting up with. Realising time had clocked on I had to leg it for my last train just now, forgetting both cans still in my bag.
I will post his to him still, a bit sad he won't get to drink it fresh tomorrow tho /csb

Don't mean to blow my own trumpet but I just smashed a pint of my saison. Think it's the best thing I've brewed so far.
Dan you need to come and get some.

3.5yr wait for a nice Imperial, tasting notes would say 'flat cola'. This wasn't a bad thing though, just not what expected. Wish I had another for comparison a few years on from now.
Glastonbury Shangri-la is to be avoided though. Like pure date syrup.

We went to the London Brewmarket thing today at Spittalfields, great afternoon with good sounds, our winner was the Dennis Hopper IPA from the Mondo brewery in Battersea, lovely team of people passionate about what they do too.

Popped over to The Old Butchers which is Wiper & True's new pub. Only opened today, was very busy. Had a queue out the door to get in which I think was because they hadn't displayed what they had on anywhere so you had to ask the barstaff when you finally got served. Hopefully they'll sort that out.
Seven varieties now I think
