  • It's like Manchester doesn't do beer.

  • Zero degrees is shit. York tap is meh.

  • It's like Manchester doesn't do beer.

You still haven't been forgiven for Boddingtons.

  • Got a bit carried away with the online shopping:

  • Struise are organising the Vleteren Craft Beer Fest om June 10-11:

noteworthy: the monks of Westvleteren will also be present (I think this definitely is a first)

  • Good work. Everything I've had from Siren has been great.

  • Was impressed by the Vermont Tea Party.

I see Yeastie Boys are doing an Tea Leaf IPA now, anyone tried that?

  • Cheers. I've had a few that I've been impressed by so thought I'd try them all (all the bottles are different). Some interesting sounding descriptions on the bottles.

  • Good point, well presented.

  • Gunnamatta?

I quite enjoyed it, odd that they've rebranded it as "tea leaf IPA" as opposed to "Earl Grey IPA" which it was previously.

  • Maybe they're trying to say they nicked the recipe.

  • Yep thats it. Yeah I noticed that. The cans in Majestic clearly said Earl Grey.

  • The fact that this almost entirely neglects London makes it lack any credibility. Yes, there are loads of excellent craft beer venues outside of London, but there is nowhere else that has anywhere near the concentration or volume of very good craft beer venues. I'm saying this as someone that pretty regularly travels elsewhere with beer as a major motivation, and I don't think there's anywhere else where you'd be able to get the range that you can get within about a 20 minute cycle from my front door

  • The fact it has nominated zero degrees out of all the amazing places within London it could have nominated is a travesty. Bundobust in Leeds should have been on there too.

  • Bundobust in Leeds should have been on there too.

While I agree, Leeds has already got five nominations. A sixth would be greedy.

To be honest Friends of Ham used to be good when it started but they have disappeared up their own arse now. You have to wait outside in a queue when it's busy nowadays.

    Fuck that.

  • How Beermoth Café is not on there I have no idea. Huge selection, well priced, good atmosphere, knowledgable staff. The shop likely deserves a place too.

  • Double Chin. Nice.

  • Tried this earlier. Was weird. Pale Ale which tastes like wheat beer. Aftertaste is ok but Bergamot breath is a hard sell. I declined to purchase.

  • If you like whiskey sours you'll like Beavertown's Tempus Project Moonshiner

  • Anyone use Beer Merchant's beer club? Thinking of swapping from Beer52.

  • I'm up in Edinburgh for work and have been loving the Salt Horse bar and shop, great selection and waaay cheaper than London (obvs)

  • They actually kicked you out?! I take it this wasn't a craft-focussed kind of shop? Or is that just Scotland for you? ;)

  • That was 3 years ago in Kennington I believe
