I enjoyed this too. Looking forward to hearing about future adventures, and maybe some of the homebrew experiments? Also, hi Martin.

Went to BDSB last night for MTB with Ballast Point.
Didn't like their lower abv ipa and pales but their amber was nice as was their Sculpin IPA, Big Eye IPA and their 10% stout was great (coffee, vanilla done well).

Just thought I'd post this link here, seemed best place for it. The buyers spent two tyears and so have 40-60 local brews going into stores

Interesting, looking at them I wouldn't say they were obscure. I can get Ringwood, Shepherd Neame , Hogs Back, Innis & Gunn, Whitcombe and the Deuchers IPA in my local offies.
Alex James is not really a "rockstar" though is he.

Larger asda's and tesco's have a similar if not better selection. Asda often have 4 for £5 as well, which is hard to resist, shockingly the shephard neame IPA is always first to go. Tramp maths is good on that!
Have a To Ol liqourice confidence and a number of others from various scandi breweries to open at the weekend.

I bought a To Oi Fuck Art, the heathens are coming yesterday. Not had any of their stuff yet. Popped into Hop Burns & Black in Peckham. Pretty cool shop if you like beer, hot sauce and records.
Also bought Buxton's Far Skyline, Wild's Sourdough, Bear Hug Beer White IPA (Brewed on Gowlett Rd!) and some cans for my trip to newcastle (Evil Twin's, Nomaderweisse, Weird Beard Decadence Stout and Mikkeller's Peter, Pale and Mary).
I also bought a Mongozo Coconut as it's my guilty pleasure.

Cheers, hippy. I won't be able to go, unfortunately, as I won't be in London. :(
I went to the one two years ago and it was great.
Fat Gay Vegan organises it, blog post here:

In Newcastle lots of good bars. Been to Brewdog had Sculpin IPA and BBNO Black IPA (bit bland). Also been to Bridge Tavern brewpub tried their cascade pale and had a banging steak. Found a bottle shop with some interesting local beers

Dogfish head 90 minute ipa that my mate brought me back from New York. Was one of the first 'craft' beers I had back at a punk festival in Florida years ago. I remember it being super bitter and like nothing I'd tasted before, now it's just good

My local corner store now sells Gamma Ray. It's amazing how much more beer you drink when there is a source of great beer 2 mins from your house. At £2.50 a 330ml can it is getting expensive though. Tasty, tasty expensive.
Same here, awesome link, means I should have a tasty case of beer waiting for me when I get back from holiday! Whoop, whoop!
