  • Had a jaipur last night, I also had some in hebden bridge last weekend but it was a special extra late hopped version that was even nicer.

  • Just been granted my very first official license.

Really need to visit the Isle now.

  • 2 things:
Love the new Partizan Dubbel (and its lable)

Which I bought at Jack's Offie on Stroud Green road which has an amazing selection of bottled beer

so I bought some to drink on my birthday next week

Thats a great stash there skydancer!
IIRC partizan packaging is designed by roboto's uni m8; its lovely both the beer and packaging.

I knew I had it somewhere in the past, I'm pretty sure I had a couple of pints when I was in Hebden over the summer.

  • Finally started on the homebrew (St Peter's Golden Ale) a bit over a week ago. Kegged it yesterday, so it should be done in a couple of weeks.

Disinfecting stuff in my small flat is a massive pain. Wet lab work was less hassle!

  • Old Red Lion in Kennington, now massive hipster haven. Enjoyed the "Trilby" though and some US bottled ales that I can't recall.

  • This is for £1 atm in sainsburys;

    Really good for £1

    Moar ratingz

this is now 75p in sainsburys

  • 75p!! Will have to pop in tomorrow, ta for heads up.

  • win!

  • Found doom bar in a pub near mine 'success' I thought

£3.60 for a pint. (in manchester thats atrocious for an ale)

  • I tried some Bad Seed Brewery beers today. Wholely unimpressed. Tried a Pale Ale, I.P.A, hefeweizen, Saison and Espresso Stout. The latter being the only palatable one.

  • ^^Not when that ale is 7.9%.

  • its only 4 i think?

  • I was on about a beer I got for £3.60 the other week, which pub were you drinking in? I've seen doombar in the odd place but can't remember where right now.

  • i cannot for the life of me remember, somewhere between fallowfield and west didsbury, closer to didsbury, had a pretty big beer garden and cycle parking

  • The cock or the Didsbury? Or something in Withington?

  • this is now 75p in sainsburys

No way?? I am stocking up

  • I am waiting for the price to drop further.

  • nerves of steel man

  • No way?? I am stocking up

    Tiny bottles.

I remember getting all giddy finding pints for well under £3 around the corner from the 'drome.

  • Took advantage of the fact that I now work near Selfridges and popped into their beer section (which is great btw). Picked up some stouts and porters for me and Simon to drink to get us in the mood forr the forthcoming brew day for our Aylesbury Estate Porter.

    Picked up the following:

    Beaverton smog rocket
Chapel down curious porter (being from Kent i'm biased on this one)
    Whistable brewery oyster stout
    Orkney brewery dark island
Harviestoun ola dubh special 12 reserve (matured in whisky casks)

  • Interesting blog re beer at festivals: http://petebrown.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/beer-festivals-and-festival-beer-how.html?m=1

In other news my hops have stalled in their development on their vines, which is disappointing.
