  • Because of the no limit listening or lack of ads or the take anywhere ease?

  • All three! Being able to hear a song somewhere in a pub or in a movie and then have it in your pocket instantly for the journey home is the best part!

  • Sorry for the dredge - better than starting a new thread.

Is spotify premium still worth it over the napster equivalent?

I have NUS card so can buy Spotify premium for £5 a month.

Also another question - would it be easy enough to run spotify on my phone then run audio out to the ipod dock?

  • Copyright law seems more and more broken every week.

  • Meh - Ministry of Sound's compilation business is a bit of a joke in the digital world anyway, that's just not how it works. It's a shame they're acting like this really as the majors are finally starting to embrace digital so this is making the indies look slow witted (much like the majors have for the last 6/7 years).

  • This is definitely nice if you like the metals. Especially the atmospheric black ones:

The band that created it, Sannhet, I particularly like.

  • Whats the cheapest way for me to get a premium spotify account?

  • Invite a mate round who has a premium spotify account.
    Put some tunes on.
Get them all rilled by the advert interuptions.
"why don't you log in then mate"

    remember password

Worked for me, and I got away with it for about a year.

You just cant be listening to it at the same time

  • I don't have any friends so that solution won't work.

  • Do you have a mobile contract? I think I heard an advert for Vodaphone offering a free year's of Premium with some* contract

    *probably stupidly expensive 24 month

  • I have Spotify Unlimited - Why then, do I have to endure an advert every 2-3 songs when using the Spotify app on my iPhone?

  • @tommy I know this is the Spotify thread but does it have to be Spotify? There are other services out there that do free trials with no ads...

I have it with Voda - 24 mth, about £45 a month. The option was free Spotify or free Sky Sports (Murdoch nein danke).

  • I agree there are far better services out there.. i prefer last.fm
but it has to be spotify because thats what they play in the office at work.

    Not willing to leave giffgaff

  • I found out the morning that Spotify only have 2 Carter USM songs. This may or may not be a selling point.

Yeah I wanted to listen to Carter. So fucking what?

Google play has the entire back catalogue. I'm tempted to go see Carter in November.

  • False alarm, so does Spotify - I'd searched USM instead of the full name. 101 Damnations for the last hour in work then.

  • My Playlists:
Last Man On The Moon - 70's

    I Killed Paul Allen - 80's

Struggle, Resist, Die; A Cacophony of the Macabre - Loud and angry shit

Freshies - Big, good feel vibes

    What you got peeps?

  • Fucking sneaky cunts! I've been on Unlimited for ages and decided on a whim to give the Premium trial a go. 2 minutes later I find out that I can't go back to unlimited as it's being phased out. Wankers.

  • bit of a thread dredge but thinking of getting the premium pack as the ads are just annoying, is it worth it ? thoughts from the friendliest forum on the internet*.

*( awaits the fuck off cunt response)

  • Unless I'm missing something that restricts you from doing this, could you find a few mates, get the Family pack and split the costs? This is what the my in-laws will be doing and I plan on taking advantage of this :)

  • Yeah, even if there's only two of you, the family pack is cheaper.

I've had premium for a couple of years – being able to use it offline is the main reason and the sound quality is better, if you care about such things.
