No new cassettes or chains, designed to use any existing road or MTB versions.

Mean I can just get existing chain and cassette.

It also mean I can simply get the GXR 46/30 and front derailleur to run my current set-up instead of mixing it with a converted triple and derailleur not suited for the small 46/30 jump.

I don't know what the fuck @amey is banging on about but with the pivot higher, you're pulling the lever lower down and therefore more braking power with less input effort

Yeah I’m lost, but moving the pivot higher increases the length of the lever (from pivot) agreeing with this to make more powerful braking from less input
