Dubtap wins. That is crazy cheap. Whats the point of 5800 and 4700 then!?

Clubmate got Dura Ace from them for £850 posted

Rear derailleur options for a 1x10 TT bike (not mine).
7900 seems redundant at £110, when 9000 can be had for £95: this is assuming it will work with a 10 speed chain (jockey cage too narrow perhaps).
6700 at £41 looks good to me: £40-odd to save 40-odd grammes seems expensive, or am I missing something else about DA over Ultegra?

Quite, but buyers gonna buy...

New sunday best bike, and looking at groupset options. Using 5800 105 on one of my bikes at the moment and don't have a problem with it. Wondering if the upgrade to (mechanical) Ultegra is worth it.
Alternatively there's Campag Athena, used Veloce in past and quite liked it. Mind you, that was when the groupset was Ultra-Torque. Power-Torque looks a bit fiddly.tl;dr - someone tell me to go 105 and spend the spare money on better wheels.

It's cheaper than even Tiagra.

Gear change felt sharper IMO which is down to the shifters, but that's about it, you can always get 105 with Ultegra shifters and still have some money for decent wheel and tyres (like DT Swiss R24 with Open Pave/GP4000sII/One).
As for Campagnolo, this is entirely up to you, if you like how it feel, comfortable to rest your hand on the hood, and prefer it to Shimano, then go for it.

Does 105 still have metal levers? If so when the price difference isn't great I think that's a small but nice luxury.

You checked Ribble?
They're generally cheapest for individual components, and I have a feeling they've got an extra 10% off this weekend..
Can't you sort something out from Sigma etc?

Is £859 for the full 6870 groupset typically as low as it goes without buying in euros/ on ebay.
-

M0st online prices are cheaper than trade already. The business model is based on splitting OEM groupsets.
-
• #4874
Not entirely, I says a little above trades.
