Scot, would love to meet up and chat when I manage to navigate the east end of London again.....

I saw/tried the Prototype last night :)
I got to say it's absolutely as good a bag as I've ever seen. I was surprised as I have a Grobag, and love it, but this really is next level.
It looks THE Business and is incredibly well thought out. The time and energy (not too mention bikes) Scott has poured into this design and undoubtedly the rest of the range is mind blowing, his skills and talents as a designer and maker are second to none.I've seen it, tried it, ordered it and will be using one in very near future. Can not wait.
It's great to see such passion, you have clearly sacrificed a lot and i don't think many people would be so committed. That alone is worthy of support, the bonus is your bag is Shit Hot as well :)
Cap firmly doffed sir and (not that you'll need it) good luck with the new company Scott.

I second this....the bag really is next level. Things I hadn't even thought of but now I am thinking...of course I would want that in a bag!!
Can't wait to get mine and I'm sure they will be a big success for Scott

An open discussion on Archie's Grobags, products and services.
This thread unfortunately exists because Scot closes the official thread, this thread won't be closed.

To continue the discussion about Archie's Grobags, visit the unofficial thread here: https://www.lfgss.com/thread55004.html

this is a bit weird. If Scott doesn't want a thread then what's the point in starting one now for a business that no longer exists?
Incidentally it's a real shame that I never managed to get a Grobag, the list was just too long and never got any shorter.

For this:
Incidentally it's a real shame that I never managed to get a Grobag, the list was just too long and never got any shorter.
Just because the business isn't an ongoing concern and isn't making bags, it doesn't mean people won't want to discuss them. There are tons of threads on here discussing product that isn't new. There are tons of threads discussing bags from manufacturers long ceased trading, or frames from a time when even the framebuilder has long since passed on. Hell, there's even going to be the inevitable "What's the best way to wash an Archie's?" post one day.

• #1963
this is weird, there are no services. i thought the point of closing a thread was to eliminate people commenting on something that was no longer available, especially one or two years after.

• #1964
can we open discussions outing taggers, too???
-
• #1965
Have you two had a spat or something? DK and Scott?
-
• #1966
rocksteady, do you own an Archie's? If so, what's it like? Does it hold everything you put in it? Is it a small hip bag or a massive messenger bag?

• #1967
can we open discussions outing taggers, too???
+1, again.

Scott, I wanted to write a big Well Done onto the original thread. I'm pleased and glad that you're moving onto bigger and better things. I'm a big fan of your work.

If Archies Growbag's is not trading any more then why do people have to email archiesgrobags@hotmail.co.uk?
-
• #1970
WTF?
Velocio, did you start a new Archie's Grobags thread, which has now been merged with the original thread? Bit wierd...
Seeing as the thread is now open for some reason, i have to say that Grobags were pretty awesome. However, the new bags are on totally different planet in terms of materials and design. In my opinion, the best that money can buy.

I've nuked the scotcunt one as that's clearly bang out of order, and is unambiguously not meant in any other light than the one in which it was intended..
