Yes they do -I've ordered stuff from hubjub in the past

I've bought stuff of them a couple of times, and I'm based in Norway.

  • WANTED: Oury grips

    SPOTTED: Hipster ;)

  • Spotted: Feckin huge welts across my two hands from using shit grips for too long.

    And thanks for the replys.

  • I find grips ruin the aesthetically pleasing clean lines of a fixie, also no grip tape is a more zen like experience and you feel more at one with the bike.

  • It's true!! To be honest though I reckon gripless with risers looks shite... I wouldn't run grips on my drops though... unless they were NJS approved Keirin grips... then that would be cool I guess... I'll probably run Oury's when they become ironically cool in a year or two though...

And get awesome frost or heat burns depending on the weather, as well as slipping all over the place if your hands are sweaty :)

  • How would you get frost or heatburns? My hands don't get slippy anyway, my toptube pad keeps them nice and dry when I'm walking to the pub pushing my rad fixy...

Oh wait I get it... you're one of those crazy's who rides their bike... way too dangerous and sweaty for me...

If this was the main forum I would say HTFU, and so would everyone else.

I've yet to ride my 'fixie' outside of Ireland or London so I've yet to encounter the kinds of extreme weather required for these burns to happen. As for slipping all over the place? Just like riding brEAKless its all part of the zen experience, you feel more connected to the bike. Besides, if I'm going to cycle 20 miles, I want to peddle 20 miles and if I'm gonna grip the bars, I'm gonna do it, I'm not gonna get some tape to grip for me!

Lets face it, grips, like brEAKs, mudguards, lights, are all just marketing, true hipsters don't buy into that shit. There's plenty of other ways to make your bike look like my little pony.

    Peace

  • That brought a tear to my eye... My Little Pony fuckin' roolz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :D

Then I think I've found the root of my problem... I'm not a hipster, just a guy who likes his bikes and uses them as something other than a fashion accessory :p

  • Woah there. What can you use your bike for other than a fashion accessory. Quick tell me, I'm worried this new use may be some element of the 'fixed gear subculture' that I'm missing out on!!

    I'm not a hipster

But you do ride a fixed gear.... Do you have knog lights?

    haha

You may a kick out of this, but I use it for.... getting about the place on -you know from home to work, or to the shops, or up the mountains for a training spin, that sort of thing :)

I do have one of my bikes as a fixie, as it's good for training, and getting around town on and is very low maintenance... makes perfect sense to me! :)

The knog lights are also very practical, but don't let anyone know!
