Probably around the 30 to 40% mark. Trails near me aren't technical so I was thinking that the Nike Pegasus Trail 4 would be the better bet.

Yeah sounds like a more rugged road shoe might be a better idea 👍

I've got a couple of pairs of peg trails i love them and will continue to buy them although i do fancy trying the new Zegamas. Pegs are great for road to trail but the tarmac will smooth the soles fairly quickly and the same for my speed goats. I really recommend the Mizuno Diachis for lite trail and durability they're not as plush as the Pegs but i reckon the soles last 3x as long. I'm still wearing my Diachi 4's for dog walking as I've got too many other trail shoes. Sportshoes.com have the Diachis on sale at the moment as well and the new versios still have the same michelin rubber sole

Yeah it's just at £50 the Peregrines seem too good not to try.

Cheers that is cheap and i think one colourway comes up even cheaper than that. I need to kill a couple of pairs or do another running shoe amnesty before i buy any more though I've got too many as it is. I should probably stop looking at trainers on the Internet in the meantime as well

1st run after being ill. Slow 5k at the end I was tasting blood, small bit of blood in stuff coffed up. Felt OK before. But think I may have to take it easy.
Full day rest before next run. I've missed not being able to run. -

Well done for getting it done.

Ta. Felt nice to be out. I hope I can fully shift the tight chest feeling.
Its been the most active year for me and enjoying running is something I thought I'd never do. -

From reading the zegama review, Salomon ultra guides still might be a better bet for longer, slower, less technical off tarmac stuff

I bought some of these the week before I broke my leg. First Walsh PBs that I've had that are the Extreme (these are lighter Racers).
I'll let you know what they're like in a few months time

What's your plan fitness wise? You got an indoor bike ready to go?
-
• #28466
I'm planning on losing what little fitness I had, then doing loads of physio and walking, swimming and zwifting, culminating with some running. London marathon 2023 is out anyway, unless I walk / run it (I'm not ruling it out)

Another +1 for Peregrines: good for tarmac thru to tough-ish trails in my experience

Incredible achievement. I wonder if he takes a day off tomorrow?
How much road are we talking?
I really like the Peregrine model. Though have only used v4 and 6. Still using both as the lugs last ages. 8mi yesterday, approx 60% trail/boggy grass, 40% road - I could do more road miles in them but need to get used to the 4mm drop and firm sole.
