Sorry if this has been covered (I did search) but can you make the android app for Strava record stuff as runs rather than rides? Not that it really matters, it's just a bit embarrassing having a phone full of 8 mile rides at 6mph.
Not that 8 mile runs at 6mph is much better but I'm carrying a lot of broken ribs and Christmas related excess weight right now :I

Ellis brigham in covent garden looked like the best bet for me for innov8s
In the end I've gone for 2 pairs of nikes, sale plus 40% was too hard to ignore.
Went with one pair of lunar elites for now, and a pair of custom orange, yellow and plum lunar glides for longer runs they'll arrive in 4 weeks though so you'll have wait to see them.
Bingo! Called and they have both the 230s and 195s in stock. I'll be there tomorrow.
In my size too :)

Log in to the website and change them there. There may be a way to do it in the app (although I've never seen it), but it's easy online.

So if I were to invest in some minimalist running shoes, what would people recommend?
I can't use vibram 5 things because I have the relatively common middle toe longer thingy.
Just like the statue of liberty. -

I've had nike free v2 and they were a great starting place, they have made me midfoot strike consistently and in a gait analysis I had a pretty much perfect gait, to achieve the same result in a trad shoe I had to go for a super structured shoe, they're a nice balance between minimalist and enough cushioning. I used the v3s last night and they are much more minimalist.
If I were to try something it would be innnov8 but I'm not going to try anything new before the marathon now.

Kent xc champs today - 12km, 48 mins. Happy(-ish) with that, but still got lapped by the first two finishers - fast fuckers.

hoping that 25 mins of charge will be enough to get at least 2 hours play, sure i can manage the last bit without music.
i can just look at the pretty pictures on the walls of the pain cave!

19 miles in 2.29.35 so 7min52 average pace.
Pretty happy with that as I was only shooting for sub3.
Ahead of my marathon race pace and 'only 7.2 miles' short on distance.

Just like the statue of liberty. It depends on the Vibram five finger, I have the same issue. Some models fit me, others don't but that is normal for the vibrams.

Er... how long does it take to get marathon fit? I think I've just signed up for the Brighton one in April but I've never actually run more than about 13 miles in one go before...

Look up hal higdon for a decent training plan and macmillan running calculator to help work out a target time.
Have heard two great marathon tips recently. Each mile represents a letter in the alphabet(1-a,2-b etc), when bored or in pain try to think of all the words you can begining with that letter. Also everyminute you go ahead of your target time in the first half will cost you two in the second.
Get some decent shoes and make sure you're not running over 400 miles in them too.

Ha I do that word thing loads with cycling when I am stuck on one a road for 40 miles at a time. I also do counting in french. I should be well equipped for that side of things hopefully. Lack of fitness may be an issue though...
Definitely accepted, so I will get on the case with my training schedule at lunch. Cheers for the tips.

Anyone feel like diagnosing my knee pain? :) I'm not sure what's going on as this wasn't happening when I started running! During the run I'm fine but a couple of hours afterwards and for the next day or so there's a point below the outside of my right knee (collateral ligaments?) that hurts when I walk. When I cycle it's fine - I don't notice anything. Any ideas?
