Srs question:
For the smaller runners really.
At 170 cm am I too big for XL kids stuff? -

Will give you a shout! Good luck.

In summer 2005 I set myself the target of running a sub-40min 10k and a sub 1:30 half. Over the years my enthusiasm for this has waxed and waned and the closest I have ever gotten was about 40:30 and 1:32 about eight years ago.
15 years have passed since I set those objectives and now I find myself on the wrong side of 40, so if I am ever going to hit these times it needs to be this year. Is this at all realistic?
Edit: today's run for some context of how I am going at the moment.

I'm 45 and I decided I was going to go for a sub 20 5. After a solid year of running 5km X2 most days to work and back, I went for it this year. I've done it and now I'm wondering if a 40 is doable. I'm currently at 45 I think.
I wasn't really a runner.

Probably do able. -

Yes. I have a very good training plan that knocked 90/120 seconds off my time.
Posted on this thread somewhere, probably a couple of years ago.
Let me know if you want to see it

this one?
Didn't see you today. It was great fun watching.

That's the one. Well done. I was in disguise, short hair and beard, tight shorts not short shorts.
More fun watching than running I bet!

6th at Thurrock parkrun which wasn't as easy as I had hoped to run, but I started right near the front, then was 11th for a bit, which wouldn't have been as good as top ten etc
And that was followed by 755th in the southerns. Probably five minutes slower than last year, but I have been doing a hell of a lot of drinking and detraining since then.
Now for a beer and a pizza.

Today I heard my first shout of
"Buggy! Buggy!"
At a parkrun. -
• #21561
At Osterley this morning there was a warning from the Run Director about being polite to other runners and park users. Not sure how a 'buggy, buggy!' shout would go.

It helps if the kids make noise. Mine used to laugh from rapid acceleration and swerving onto the grass verges to overtake.
And the buggy rattled like anything.
Never said 'excuse me' or 'buggy buggy'

At the time I thought "bit odd". But now I'm wondering if it was more like a "there's a fucking buggy here watch where you're going!" Rather than "get out of my way, I've got a fucking buggy and I'll use it!".

Long-shot but..I won some of the following on a works trip to China.
Used them for approx two hours, definitely not for me.. so for sale.
Trekz Aftershokz Air
Midnight Blue
Pouch, charging cable
No box, instructions, receipt etc.Look to be £100 new.. any interest at £50 posted.
I could see these being worthwhile if you want tunes on your run without blocking surrounding noise.. to be honest probably more suited to podcasts/audiobooks.FWIW - these were China spec so the Bluetooth voice was Chinese out of the box but I switched it to English without issue.

If anyone wants to know what it's like banging your arm into the cable/phone/electricity boxes on the street, it's fucking painful. It feels like a dead leg and I nearly vommed.

34.34 at Chichester 10k today. Wanted sub 34 but had been ill for the previous week so am pretty pleased. Due to illness I also did a parkrun yesterday (there's a logic somewhere) so it's been a decent training weekend.

^ nice one, rapid.
You row almost as fast as I have ever run a 10k. Keep up the good work.
Get well soon @juanito
I am going to do a parkrun and the southerns. Aiming for a top 1000 finish but not too fussed
