  • All the best @dubkev !

  • Same to you. Unlikely but might see you at the start. You got a target time in mind?

  • Ambitious 1:36 but have been neglecting the tempo runs in training so will see.

  • 1.34. very well done, you could have just set my life time pb!

  • 2:02 for me. Was hoping for under two hours but whatever. I'm still a noob. I'm just glad I finished it.

  • That was a decent little run out. I thought the course was ok apart from the cobbled sections about mile 6, I think. Thanks for the place @quincy

The logistics at the end were a bit rubbish and all so they could get the shot of the winners finishing in front of Cutty Sark.

  • I am treating myself to a beer and crisps lunch. First beer since new years eve. Awesome.

  • I reckon that's a time to be proud of - well done.

  • Thank you. I am fucked now. Having two young kids to come back to is really difficult.

  • Just did a 4hr run, longest in the last couple of years by far. In a wee bit of sore leg pain, but not injury pain, so extremely happy with that.

  • Was a great run, thank you for the bib number. Now you can impress everyone at the pub.
    Hope the injury heals quick

  • Took me too long to find a spot to deposit my tag, especially after that huge walk. Was very aware of the big stage and food tent though as they were on all of the signs.

Overall a good route and organisation. Enjoyed getting my fastest split running down into the tunnel near the start.

  • story of my life, right there, mate.

good luck and well done today!

  • Well done all! I wasn't expecting all them cobbles but they didn't slow me down too much. Very pleased to run a 2-second (!) pb, 1:11:26. (Would've been 2nd V45 behind the guy who is already ranked 1st so far this year.) Had a good start from pen A - cheers @doubleodavey! - and ran fairly even splits (5k 16:51, 10k 33:37), caught up a training partner just after hitting South London about 8 miles and ran in a group of 6 with him till near the end, which was handy when the going started getting tough. Thought I'd missed my pb as I saw the finish line clock, then remembered the gun/chip difference. One final gurn to get me there. :-)

  • Chapeau @dubkev @GwGs @PhilPub @dogu

And @kl four hours of running sounds crazy to a newbie

  • 2:04:12 for me. Wanted to sub 2 but legs weren't there. Just glad it happen really, running through bit of London that would normally be impossible. Long walk to get me coat at the end.

  • 1:36:57 for me in the end, almost a two minute Pb. Was good to see @duncs at the start and end, really bookended it for me. Nice to see @dubkev as well by the tunnel. Need to do more strength work going forward. Cardio was there but body fell apart. Still very very pleased. I’ve come a long way.

  • The organisation was really good but I felt they could have put more in goody bag to eat, especially given how far people had to walk to get their bags. Nothing fancy, just a banana or something.

  • Well done @GwGs, and good to see you at the start and the end. I childishly sprinted off to pip a mate by half a second on the line.
Really good day, my sister and her partner both getting PBs and about 30 clubmates turning out. Then an afternoon in the pub.

1.36 for me, 7 minutes shy of a PB but I'm pretty happy with given the focus is long slow stuff for IM and today was intended as a training run.

  • Very pleased to run a 2-second (!) pb, 1:11:26.

That is mental. I'm in awe.

  • Still very very pleased. I’ve come a long way.

When you look back to say, a year ago, how has your time improved?

  • Also, I'm staying in Birmingham tomorrow night for work. Anyone got a good running route for the city centre, maybe about 10 km? Not sure I could handle more than that right now, my legs are still shaky from yesterday.

  • The grand total of....wait for it...1 min 35 sec. HUGE!

  • hit the canals for a relatively flat and easy out and back. they've been tarted up quite a bit as well. not sure what they'd be like in the dark though
