Foakes has been nothing but class in tests.

Butler is decent, and had a good 2020, so don't begrudge him. But its always felt like he is there because Joe Root wants a mate near by to help captain. Even if Foakes hits a double every innings and takes 9 wonder catches/stumpings an innings he will go back to the bench as soon as Butler is available.

If Foakes takes one stumping in 2 innings he will have doubled Buttlers' test career total, if my memory serves me correctly. This might just be slightly helpful in the subcontinent.
