I just got back from the game. Fuck me it was awful. I was giving it large to all the Scots, Kiwis and Poms in the crowd, only to have the Aussies not show up to the game and get completely thumped. The poms can be unforgiving when you are losing! Gayle was awesome though. Why didn't he do that when playing England?!!

there was a great doco on TV tonight about the history of West Indies cricket. Awesome stuff seeing some of the players they've produced over the years. I would love to have been around to watch Sobers, Lloyd and Worrell, or been old enough to appreciate the 80's side. used to love watching Curtly Ambrose when he was on fire in the 90's.

meh, there's no shame in losing to Sri Lanka, they have always been a fantastic limited overs side.

Australia was in the only group without a minnow to bash up. India had to face off against the might of Ireland and Bangladesh. England had Holland and Pakistan. The other group was South Africa, New Zealand and Scotland. You still need to win games, but at least we lost to decent sides.
