If that's a beer on the right of picture, you've got the perfect trifecta.

Pleased to see the back of Pant. Plays some horrible shots.
This is going to be really close. Great cricket.

I'm glad my trip to Durham on Wednesday now has a more positive purpose

India throwing this? Either to annoy Pakistan or to assist some bookmakers?
-
• #7014
Why haven’t India given it a good old crack here?
Bowling had been decent but their fans deserve to see them go down fighting.

India to crack 400?

NRR could be significant in the worst case scenario of India losing their next two games (local rivalries against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) and Pakistan beating Bangladesh in their last game.
With ~10 overs to go they were only one wicket (Dhoni) away from exposing the tail. Losing him could have led to a collapse that would have just put unnecessary pressure on the last two games and given Pakistan hope.
Dull as it may be, the percentage play is to keep the NRR loss low which means the pressure will be on Pakistan to go all out against Bangladesh (assuming India lose against Bangladesh, which is looking unlikely but not impossible, they've certainly been slowed down).

314 is way below what India would have expected.
Bangladesh will think they have a chance here, and they're a batting team not a fielding team.
[EDIT] England women collapsing early in the first ODI of the Women's Ashes.

I agree,
have a look at the flat run rate graph for the last 13/14 overs:
https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8039/statistics/1144522/bangladesh-vs-india-40th-match-icc-cricket-world-cup-2019
Shakib Al Hasan has the added incentive that 70-odd runs will see him overtake Rohit Sharma as the current leading run scorer. -

Bangladesh have almost certainly lost too many wickets,
6, especially all their specialist batsmen,
to cope with the last 10 overs, but only 90 needed! -

We have been blessed with winning the toss on an absolute road

Cue the traditional collapse to 60-odd for 4 after 15 overs...

NZ saving Lockie Ferguson for the semi-final?
I was imagining him relishing peppering Morgan with bouncers. -

Also things I never thought I'd say: I wish I wore shorts in Durham, it's boiling

Going to be a tense day i feel.

Paul Collingwood was on BBCR4 Today,
stating the ground is so large,
there are '2's to be gathered all around the wicket.
Andy Zaltzman is looking forward to a great 2-day.
Live England win probability 78%
Bairstow out on 111. What's with this: psyched?
