  • I drank too much Cool-Aid.
    Hic!

  • I am a curse for traveling to Trent Bridge

  • That photo of Woakes makes him look like a bit of a prick

  • Impression I get is that some Pakistani fans in the crowd behind him at long on were saying a few things, probably in Urdu; being from Birmingham he probably knows a word or two. Seen a lot worse...

  • Chaos in Cardiff. Sri Lanka doing their best to collapse.

  • Steyn out for the tournament. Oof.

  • What are Sri Lanka doing?

    Chaos.

    Such a daft run out.

  • Will be lucky to make 250 at this rate.

Gotta fancy Afghanistan to win this

  • Gotta fancy Afghanistan to win this

Definitely rooting for them - some solid support at the ground...

  • This will be shitty if rain ruins it.

I'm assuming that Bangladesh/Pakistan/Afghanistan have been playing while fasting for Ramadan, which makes their performances pretty impressive. There seemed to be a drinks break every 5 minutes yesterday, which seemed a bit unnecessary when less than half the players could have a drink (Moeen fasts on the England side).

  • There's some that do/don't fast as far as I know; Amla and Moeen do, not sure about all of the Pakistani folk.

Gutted for Steyn, only player left of that golden SA side is Amla who's kind of on the decline.

  • South Africa following the (ir self-written?) script.

  • Won’t even get a chance to do the traditional choke in the knock-out stages at this rate...

  • Yep,
if the Indian batting performs anything like par, South Africa will have a tough to remedy NRR after 3 matches.

  • Let's hope Archer/Wood/Plunkett have noticed how the WIndies bowling has dismantled the Aussies.

  • Cue standard England response of "if we stick to our plans...", "it's how we play", etc.

  • WIndies have let them off the hook here...

Smith and Coulter-Nile have played well though.

  • Stop channelling the ghost of Peter Moore's strategy.

  • Yep,
Even if Gayle tonks a quickfire 80+, hard to see WIndies chasing down 280-ish.

  • Back to bloody business

  • Jason Roy on the charge.

    Massive shots.

  • Ha. Ffs

    Great innings from him.

  • Oh my God I love Jos Buttler, two bloody balls into the River Taff

  • No comments on the Aussies underpowered, but potentially NRR enhancing, run chase?

South Africa can't catch a break. Even the English weather cannot ensure a washout and a guaranteed point.

  • aussies looked flat. khawaja can'tbat there and warner isn't playing his natural game. i reckon that the indians weren't even going flat out.

the guardian comments about the NRR were interesting and i wouldn't be surprised if they were going down the preservation route at this stage of the tourney.
