An absolute ripper from Broady!
-
• #6259
That puts some pressure on Dhawan as he opens the Indian 2nd innings.
-
• #6260
Some proper tailend batting there
-
• #6261
After 4 batting line up failures, and 2-0 down in the series, I can understand the Indian bowlers wanting to have a bowl on a possibly favourable pitch, rather than faffing around for 10 or so runs.

• #6262
just seen that ball from Broard . 😮😮😮 .
Swing bowling....pow ! -

If India enforce the follow-on, they could win this before Close of Play.
-
• #6264
We're within 200 runs so no follow-on
-
• #6265
Sigh

And yet another dropped catch. Aggers estimates 25% of chances dropped. That's shite even at club level. Do these boys actually practice?
-
• #6267
Nah
Having a lovely time with this pink ball stuff at the Oval though, lovely weather all day and everything.

I managed to see about 35 minutes with my three and half year old twins today. I'll head back tomorrow afternoon with an older companion to drink all the beer.
Doesn't look like it'll last four days!

I’ve been to two days of Test cricket this summer and seen 30 wickets. Not really Test cricket any more.
Nobody values their wicket. One day cricket has mostly had a good effect on the longer game but not sure it’s going to help in the long run. Counties need these games to go into the fourth and fifth day.
My prediction is that they’ll stop using the Dukes ball in England to make batting easier.

Not a chance, there's much more of a push for use of the Dukes ball (Or a kookaburra with a more pronounced seam) in the rest of the world in order to get more exciting games.

Another dropped catch...

YJB confirmed broken finger. Who to replace him? Roy? Vince? Gubbins? Hildreth? Bell? Some chat about Pepper - not seen enough of him though.
Obviously I am assuming that Buttler will take the gloves - otherwise Foakes as a left-field suggestion?

India win, over in 3 days. No-one gets a century. Kohli gets about 80 in total.
Still on for 2/4 of this...
-
• #6274
If Jennings could catch, you'd have had 3!
broken record...

If they want another keeper in then I imagine it would be Foakes, however that leaves us with only Burns who can keep, a bit much for a bloke who is also captain.
This pink Kookaburra does fuck all in England
BTW. Cricket World Cup ballot is open (until the 29th):-
